Is anyone buying into White House spokeswoman Dana Perino telling the press that Bush goes to bed early and probably wouldn't be seeing the Iowa caucus results.

"What time do all the results start coming in? Because he goes to bed early," Perino inquired of an inquiring press.

Buying her later amended statement that Bush planned to watch a bit of the returns, but would not stay tuned for the accompanying political punditry?

Possibility: He's not interested because he's so self-centered that unless he or one of his moneyed buddies is running he doesn't care.

Possibility: He really can't stay up that late, which might explain a lot.

Possibility: The fix is in, so he doesn't have to bother watching.

Possibility: He has no intention of leaving office and is planning on instituting one of his proclamations, rendering the November election moot, null, void and cancelled.
