I just read an article called "Trump, Putin, and the Pipelines to Nowhere" and it makes perfectly clear what Trump's intentions with Putin are. First the author talks about a Carbon Bubble that is about to explode. Fossil fuels are going away, and their worth to the world is artificially propped up, and when people realize that the oil industry is dead and is not coming back, it will explode. Trump and his oil buddy Putin want to keep that from happening, and their intent is to go on an oil promoting rampage.
The next question would be, "Is this treasonous?" I would say that this is open treason. It does not require the CIA or the FBI to figure this link out. It is simple economics, and Trump's pick for Secretary of State says loud and clear that Trump's links to oil are more important than the people of the USA.
