Returning to Oped!
I spoke with Rob Kall a few weeks (maybe days) ago. He was wondering if I was going to write again. This is my initial writing. I am hoping to get back to writing. It's good for my brain. Doctors are actually scratching their heads about the slow progression of my Alzheimer's.
Perhaps they diagnosed wrong? I don't know. I do know that I become a mess when working. In writing, I am better. Plus I have my wife to "look over my shoulder". She too has a passion for writing, while also having a PhD in English. Mm, perhaps she could be the second Hall on OEN. Maybe we can do it as a team?
I am thinking about writing articles reflecting our current politics. With Donald Trump in office, that may not be a hard task. Something new appears every day indicating that Trump is unfit to be in office. Indeed, because of his presidency, my wife and I solidified our desire to move to Canada.
We are looking at, and are planning to plant ourselves, in a senior citizen house. The one that we are planning to move to is in Nova Scotia. What I like about the organization; is that it's not a global chain of "old folks" homes. A couple has graciously opened their large home to nine of us elderly in need of the help of folks happy to become our extended family.
I also wish to say that I have missed OEN: people such as Rob Kall, Daniel, Tsara and, Meryl Ann Butler. Hopefully, I can provide some mustard to the brilliance of this mix (if they are still there). If any of you wish to come there, I'd love to see you.
Merry and I are looking at moving within the next two months. Of course, that's if all goes well. So, it might take me a while. I may try to zip out an article in the meantime, but forgive me, lots is going on.
