Blake and the Sheetrock Philosopher

Sheetrock Philosopher: Do you have a chisel in your bag?
Blake: Yeah, here. The President's speech last night was fantastic. Did You watch it?
Sheetrock Philosopher: Sure did.
Blake: Amazing how strong he was and the Republicans shouting USA! USA! gave me goosebumps!
Sheetrock Philosopher: Yes, very courageous.
Blake: Sure was.
Sheetrock Philosopher: Ever heard the Parable of the Monster?
Blake: No.
Sheetrock Philosopher: Well, there was a monster that stood in the doorway of the town hall of a small town. He growled and snarled and drooled and threatened -- he wouldn't let the local town councilmen pass. A wizard that lived in the belfry of the town hall came down in the middle of the impasse and informed the councilmen that they simply needed to call the monster a monster and he would go away. They in turn called the wizard horrible names, accused him of stealing, brought up picadillos from his past and threatened him with bodily harm. He returned to the belfry, snickering all the way. The leader of the Councilman then had an idea -- he suggested they simply exit through a window, which they did. They then ran and hid behind hedges and babies and and an immigrant gardener...
Blake: What a bunch of creeps, cowards.
Sheetrock Philosopher: Sure were, weren't they.
