Lady Governor in Trouble?

Author 25058
Message Steven G. Erickson

Is Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell hiding something, is she going to run somehow in the upcoming Presidential election for the Republicans, is she sick, is she being investigated, and/or is she fearing prosecution? Why is Governor Rell not running for another term?

People in Rell's position just don't give up the reigns of power for no real reason.

If you are a police officer and commit felonies and misdemeanors, you need only to resign and get your pension to avoid prosecution. Former Governor John G. Rowland, the previous governor of Connecticut, a Republican was caught for taking bribes from alleged organized crime figures to go national with a franchise of "Kiddie Max" prison for kids. Organized crime would build, maintain, and run these facilities. Politicians like Rowland and officials like Kristine Regaglia, former head of Connecticut Children and Families, DCF, could live the lifestyles of the rich and famous after receiving kickbacks and bribes from organized crime. What did, or does, Governor Rell have to do with such behavior and/or in covering it up? Rell was John G. Rowland's Lieutenant Governor.

What did Rell know, and when didn't she know it? M. Jodi Rell is no Sergeant Schultz, a character in the television series, "Hogan's Heroes," she can't expect the public and investigating authorities to believe she knew nothing for so long a period. Should women in politics be held to different standards than men, and not punished for wrongdoing?

It is common knowledge in some circles that if a citizen writes a letter or calls the Governor Rell's office in Connecticut to report police misconduct in the state of Connecticut and/or public corruption, that citizen's name can be placed on the Connecticut State Police secret "Enemies List", and the citizen can be arrested on sight, face prison, or worse.
