Why Globalization is Failing... Right now Russia, China, and the Middle East are moving toward a policy geared specifically to consolidate their own hegemony within their areas. For all intents and purposes this is not necessarily a bad thing. What we aren't seeing here in the American Empire is that trend towards self-determination.

Russell Brand - The Emperor's New Clothes... His cockney accent, promoting the idea of "self-sacrifice", "unselfishness", and that greedy folk of wealth are the sole reason for societal ills as a result of the financial collapse of 2008, is infectious though very subjective. It provides an easy scapegoat for the first generation of western civilization dealing with the end of the "Post World War Two Boom" era.

Time For Angela Corey To Go!!! It is time for people across the State of Florida to call on our elected officials to demand that Angela Corey resign from the State Attorney's Office. Corey has not acted in the interest of the public and should not be allowed to continue in her position. She is an embarrassment to the state and to the people who pay her salary.

Cultural Narcissism in America: The "Cult of Happy" Those less interested in this soft form of indoctrination are often singled out for ridicule or shunned. Why? Because they dared challenge the accepted narrative, refusing to simply "get with the program". It is an onerous cult that has entrenched itself deep within the American psyche: "The Cult of Happy".

American Idol" The End. For the performers making it through the performance, and the possible dressing down from Simon Crowell, there likely stood at the end an A&R Representative, with a contract, ready to feed them through a corporate music processor. The worst of the worst faced the jeers of the public and a deflated ego. So thus, similar to democracy, the idea of the talent show took on an aspect of the Roman Coliseum, and the "show of thumbs",

Hobby Lobby - "Every Sperm is Sacred" Such a lack of wisdom can only come from those who wish to return America back to a country that never existed. They are the kind of people that don't wish the women of this country to don Burkhas, but to simply assume the role of barefooted caregiver, "yes"-person, and breeder.

Rick Scott: Incumbent - Will Florida Do it Again? The next Florida governor will be elected based on his ability to get independents who typically vote moderate to the polls. Crist has a better chance at doing it than Scott as he is more like a Barack Obama or a Mitt Romney.

George Orwell - The "Happy" Accident" Many thanks to that person who, that day years ago, forgot to put "1984" back on the bookshelf.

The Man Who Toppled Eric Cantor Who'd have thought the average liberal would bemoan the man many of them thought was the "Devil incarnate" for so long.

The Megalomaniacal Donald Trump and "The Art of the Deal"... Americans are drawn to a message that encompasses elements of visceral optimism but damns the villains, appropriate to consensual bias, to a hell even Dante's Lucifer couldn't even abide. So is it any surprise that this era would produce a politician of the caliber of a Donald Trump? Hardly.

Instead of Corporations, Why Not Invest in People? Should we be investing in people instead of corporations? Progressive Editorialist Robert Montgomery suggests it may be time for a change in our priorities.

Republicans May Be Doing Single-Payer Advocates Across the Country a Favor... Under a single-payer system, one wouldn't have to pay out of pocket until a spending requirement is met: benefits are immediately payable as care is needed. Cost of coverage is not dictated by the balance sheet of an insurance corporation. If a corporation is not deriving enough money to satisfy shareholders, prices will not rise but will ebb and flow with demand as needed by the people.

Democrats: Stop With the False Propaganda Already... Until Democrats grow a spine and start calling out their own party, for the constant offenses against collective intelligence, things will not change. There is no reason to suspect that things are going to get better under this president or one from the other side regardless of the amount of times shills, such as the person who created this meme, keep repeating the lie.

Ronald Reagan - Ode to Grandpa We make heroes here in the country based how they made us feel. The fact that an actor playing the role of president reassured at least some of us that an America that we thought existed was still there.

Charlie Crist: The New Face of Florida's Democratic Party... The right understood from the moment Crist emerged that reelecting Governor d*ckhead was suddenly going to be a challenge, and began, from day one, a series of attack ads blaming Charlie Crist for the all of the woes Florida suffered at the hands of a collapsing national economy during his watch.

We Can Thank the Enlightenment for Independence Day... What arrogance! Who were they to demand these things, and by what right were they instilled with the authority to ask for them? Who were these people to demand the right to establish courts and institutions? They weren't imbued with these rights by God; only a king was.

Rick Scott - H.B. 1047 and Government by Force What the law really does is establish the right of certain people in society to demand that an individual do specifically what they mandate with respect to their body. We don't have to agree with the idea of abortion, or even like it, but there is always the question of fundamental rights of the individual: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

"God" Save America - It is what it is... No doubt many partisans will agree with this instead choosing to help their prospective political parties serve up yet another "savior" to lead us even further down the road to oblivion. They will have served the status-quo and given us, yet another Republican or Democrat.
