Technotyranny: The Iron-Fisted Authoritarianism of the Surveillance State We are living in a virtual world carefully crafted to resemble a representative government, while in reality we are little more than slaves in thrall to an authoritarian regime, with its constant surveillance, manufactured media spectacles, secret courts, inverted justice, and violent repression of dissent. This is not freedom. This is not even progress.

How to Survive the Journey Ahead: A Graduation Message for a Terrifying Age Based on the current political climate, things could very well get much worse before they ever take a turn for the better. The only way we'll ever achieve change in this country is for the American people to finally say "enough is enough" and fight for the things that truly matter. It doesn't matter how old you are or what your political ideology is.

Drivers Beware: The Deadly Perils of Traffic Stops in the American Police State Trying to predict the outcome of any encounter with the police is a bit like playing Russian roulette: most of the time you will emerge relatively unscathed, although decidedly poorer and less secure about your rights, but there's always the chance that an encounter will turn deadly.

D Is for a Dictatorship Disguised as a Democracy What characterizes American government today is not so much dysfunctional politics as it is ruthlessly contrived governance carried out behind the entertaining, distracting and disingenuous curtain of political theater.

Predator Cops, Guilty of Sex Crimes Against Women and Children, Are a Menace to Society In a number of cases, victims of sex trafficking report that police are among those "buying" young girls and women for sex. In other words, as a recent study makes clear, "victims are being exploited by the very people who are supposed to protect them: police officers."

The Essence of Evil: Sex with Children Has Become Big Business in America Sex trafficking especially when it comes to the buying and selling of young girls has become big business in America, the fastest growing business in organized crime and the second most-lucrative commodity traded illegally after drugs and guns. This is America's dirty little secret.

From Jesus Christ to Julian Assange: When Dissidents Become Enemies of the State When exposing a crime is treated as committing a crime, you are being ruled by criminals. In the current governmental climate, where laws that run counter to the dictates of the Constitution are made in secret, passed without debate, and upheld by secret courts that operate behind closed doors, obeying one's conscience and speaking truth to the power of the police state can render you an "enemy of the state."

Financial Tyranny: America Has Become a Pay-to-Play Exercise in Fascism We're not living the American Dream. We're in the grip of a financial nightmare. "We the people" have become the new, permanent underclass in America. We get taxed on how much we earn, taxed on what we eat, taxed on what we buy, taxed on where we go, taxed on what we drive, and taxed on how much is left of our assets when we die, and yet we have no real say in how the government runs, or how our taxpayer funds are used.

American Idiocracy: 50 Years Later, We're Still Stranded in the Twilight Zone Have you noticed how much life increasingly feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone? Only instead of Rod Serling's imaginary "land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas," we're trapped in a topsy-turvy, all-too-real land of corruption, brutality and lies, where freedom, justice and integrity play second fiddle to political ambition, corporate greed, and bureaucratic tyranny.

The Making of a Monster: We're All Lab Rats in the Government's Secret Experiments The U.S. government has unleashed untold horrors upon the world--including its own citizenry--in the name of global conquest, acquisition of greater wealth, scientific experimentation, and technological advances. These horrors are being meted out against humans and animals alike.

Don't Shoot the Dogs: The Growing Epidemic of Cops Shooting Family Dogs The absurd cruelties of the American police state keep reaching newer heights. Consider that if you kill a police dog, you could face a longer prison sentence than if you'd murdered someone or abused a child. If a cop kills your dog, however, there will be little to no consequences for that officer. Not even a slap on the wrist.

Government Shutdown Or Not, The Police State Will Continue To Flourish Shutdown or not, war will continue. Drone killings will continue. Surveillance will continue. Censorship and persecution of anyone who criticizes the government will continue. The government's efforts to label dissidents as extremists and terrorists will continue.

A Crisis in the Making: Know Your Rights or You Will Lose Them We are approaching critical mass, the point at which all hell breaks loose. The government is pushing us ever closer to a constitutional crisis. What makes the outlook so much bleaker is the utter ignorance of the American people--and those who represent them--about their freedoms, history, and how the government is supposed to operate.

Yes, You Have the Right to Talk Back to the Government--But It Could Get You Killed In theory, "we the people" have a constitutional right to talk back to the government. In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court concluded as much in City of Houston v. Hill when it struck down an ordinance prohibiting verbal abuse of police officers as unconstitutionally overbroad and a criminalization of protected speech. In practice, however, talking back, especially when police are involved, can get you killed. The danger is real.

Red Flag Gun Laws: Yet Another Government Weapon for Compliance and Control Mark my words: red flag gun laws, which allow the police to remove guns from people suspected of being threats, will only add to the government's power. These laws are a stealth maneuver by the police state to gain greater power over an unsuspecting and largely gullible populace.

You Want to Make America Great Again? Living in a representative republic means that each person has the right to take a stand for what they think is right, whether that means marching outside the halls of government, wearing clothing with provocative statements, or simply holding up a sign. That's what the First Amendment is supposed to be about.

No Doubt About It: The Deep State Is Real and Trump Is Its Latest Tool Apart from tweets that are little more than sound and fury, Trump is not a man who is raging against the machine. He is too much a part of the machine. Trump is not advocating for peace with Russia, or North Korea or any other nation. He is selling us out to the war hawks.

It's All Fake: Reality TV That Masquerades as American Politics The political scene in the United States has devolved over the years into a carefully calibrated exercise in how to manipulate, polarize, propagandize and control a population. Likewise, "The Trump Show" keeps the citizenry distracted, diverted and divided. This is the magic of the reality TV programming that passes for politics today.
