Deb Denis is an Executive Coach and Organizational Consultant known for impacting leaders in organizations and achieving results. Expect transformational behavioral change because Deb helps her clients blast through barriers to master more change than they previously thought possible. She’s done this with hundreds of clients from all around the world and at varying levels within many industries.
She maintains a private Coaching & Consulting practice and is Partner and Co-Founder of the Athena Project, a firm focused on developing leaders. In 2010 she founded Coaches Without Borders, an international volunteer organization that pairs U.S.-trained Executive Coaches with leaders of aid organizations in Africa.
Before starting her own practice, Deb’s experience included more than two decades in roles of consistently increasing responsibility and span at Colonial Penn, Dun & Bradstreet and Vanguard.
Deb has been a featured speaker at industry, academic, federal and NGO conferences, including A Model for Coaching Women: Learning and Leading with Your Gender at the University of Pennsylvania’s first Conference on Coaching as well as Leadership Competency & A Coaching Mindset for Leaders for an NGO Senior Leadership Conference in Burundi, Africa in 2011. She’s been a guest lecturer for both graduate and undergraduate classes at The University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University, where she is now Adjunct Faculty.
Deb’s work in Coaching has been featured in academic journals as well as on various blogs and websites. Her first book, Kilimanjaro One Woman’s Journey to the Roof of Africa and Beyond, was published in July 2012 (www.MarionGracePublishing.com).
In 2005 Deb received a bachelor’s degree in Communications cum laude from Villanova University and in 2008 she completed her Master’s work in Organizational Development and Executive Coaching at the University of Pennsylvania where she also served on the Coaching Advisory Board. She holds professional coaching certification and is a candidate for Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.
Deb loves to experience the world and has travelled, hiked and eaten on six of seven continents. Deb was born in Philadelphia, raised in upstate New York, and lives in Newtown Square with her husband Alan and their golden retriever, Athena.
