The GOP's Limbo Rock and How ‘Low' Can We Go? In an accent she'd never completely been able to overcome, 'Of course . . . I didn't agree with everything the Nazis did.'

BREAKING NEWS: Palin took millions in earmarks as mayor and governor. The story, sadly, does not end here. Just this year, Governor Palin's office forwarded to Ted Stevens' office a 70-page memo detailing needs for more than $200 million in earmarked funds.

The questions asked concerning Afghanistan are all wrong. It was those who might take offense at my language that I wanted most to offend. We're talking about horrendous death and mutilation of human beings — and some complain because they're disturbed by rough words???

The call to arms on healthcare reform Conservatives and Republicans have raised a hue and cry - every bit of it shamelessly misleading - against government's involvement.

Vietnam, Marriage, Iraq, Afghanistan & GM - the common threads: your money and getting out. Through the campaign, Obama insisted he intended to add those troops, at least three brigades, or anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 members each. My mind marches in circles with questions.

Health Insurers' Bottom Line Defines 'Medical Necessity' Regardless that the neurosurgeon, before proceeding with surgery, wanted some assurance of better-than-even odds that the cardio system was sufficiently healthy to accept the stress of surgery, INSURANCE WOULD NOT cover a cardio workup exam! Checking to see whether the patient's heart could weather the storm of an approved surgery wasn't on the computerized "approved" list.

A fire in New York is being fought by bottom feeders The other day, as response to the union protesters in Madison, Wisconsin, Rush Limbaugh called the gathered "bottom feeders."

America's tenth decile, the "sitting around guys." Without knowing it, a business model decision that weighs costs with benefits is the Fortune 500 type of decision every young, urban core, gang-banger made, as do all prospective members to the gang.

This is a test, but oh it is such an important one It matters . . . a great deal, a very great deal, that you scroll over the comments made by U.S. Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann, to highlight them, then hit the Ctrl-C on your keyboard, to paste them into a document that can be easily and immediately referenced.

Addendum to Bobby - We Hardly Knew Ye piece I have stared into the impenetrable murky brown that passes for water in Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Borgne, and I'd take swigs from both before I'd swallow what Bobby was decanting.

How long should one hold a grudge? "You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?" - You're damned right I am.

On the utter ignorance and criminal stupidity, voting for McCain/Palin. That Ms. Palin, in her supremely embarrassing ignorance, supposes there was ever intended to be "much flexibility" in the vice-president's role is perilous beyond any measure of words.

The perversity of the GOP: What it thinks is funny, and that you're stupid enough to believe the lies. What really lodges in much of Republican hearts is the bigotry that formed the impetus behind the GOP's Southern strategy. A couple examples how virulent the bigotry remains follows immediately.

The survey says: Republicans really are that stupid . . . But If you want to know what's happening to the health care reform "debate," all you need to do is pull up some of the most recent surveys.

Healthcare Reform: If You Can't Afford to Pay Anything Else, at Least Try Paying Attention First of all must come anger that is justified, and the implied threat that that anger might turn to uncontrolled rage. Absent that anger and rage, nothing good will happen. Nothing good ever has.

You want 'what' in Afghanistan? 40,000 additional troops will not accomplish the task. Using Jones' (and General Petraeus') own 1 - 32 insurgent warfare troop-strength calculations, the ratio of boots on the ground to a host population, the Afghanistan campaign is gonna require 640,000 marines and soldiers.

An important speech by Sen Franken to Constitutionalist Soc, PLEASE listen In his Al Franken manner, tersely outlines what has gone wrong, how justice is being -- as it has been -- hijacked by conservatives to serve ill ends. Franken's points are made with his typical droll, sometimes sarcastic humor. But the points are made.

Friday Night Smackdown - A Sign of the Times "If a family today cannot afford . . . how much health care insurance will they be able to buy with a $5,000 tax credit that comes into play during the next tax filing year, and after they've spent $15,000 the previous year for health insurance?"

My first run-ins with the damning illogic of the Right NOTICE: Rough sledding ahead. The effort is to be as honest as I can be, which for many may be a ride to tough to handle; language and verbal images employed accordingly.

The United Global Corporate States, and aren't you glad. And no one seemed to mind much. After all, in the aftermath of AD, "everything was better."
