Saudi Arabia teams up with Israel in anti-Qatar lobbying in the US Congress US proposed legislation - Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act of 2017 - threatening to sanction Qatar for its support of the so-called "Palestinian terror" was sponsored by 10 lawmakers who received more than $1m over the last 18 months from lobbyists and groups linked to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, Al Jazeera reported Friday.

Bangladesh alarmed at India's Citizenship Amendment Act & National Register of Citizens Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said Sunday that the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens are India's "internal issues", but any uncertainty in India was likely to affect its neighboring countries. Momen cancelled his visit to India earlier this month after protests against the citizenship law erupted in India.

US prosecutors close controversial terror case against Hamid Hayat Six months after a federal judge vacated the high-profile 2006 terrorism conviction against Hamid Hayat, prosecutors said Friday they will not pursue another trial against the Lodi, California resident. Hamid Hayat was freed August last after completing more than half his sentence on charges of providing material support to terrorists and lying to FBI agents.
