Caspian states agree to keep foreign militaries out Presidents of the Caspian countries - Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia - adopted the final communique' of the sixth Caspian Summit, which was held in Turkmen capital Ashgabat last week. In a communique after the meeting, the five leaders emphasized their agreement to bar any foreign militaries from the Caspian.

Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan talks with Islamabad: TTP refuses to budge from demand of FATA merger reversal The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has categorically stated that the banned group would not back down from its demand for the reversal of the merger of erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. The TTP said that "if the Pakistan government and its security agencies want peace, they would have to restore its previous status".

Iran Carries Out 2nd Successful Test-Launch of Homegrown Carrier Rocket Iran has successfully test-launched the domestically-produced civilian satellite carrier Zoljanah powered by a compound-fuel engine, Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported on Sunday. The IRNA news agency quoted Defense Ministry spokesman Ahmad Hosseini, as saying that the second launch, like the first, was for science purposes.

Remembering Egypt's first democratically elected president Morsi on third death anniversary June 17 marks the third anniversary of the death of Mohamed Morsi, Egypt's first (and may be the last) democratically elected leader in the modern period. Mohamed Morsi collapsed during a court hearing and was later pronounced dead in hospital. Whilst in prison, Morsi was known to have had a history of several health issues. These issues included diabetes, liver disease, and kidney disease.

Egypt to transfer two strategic Red Sea islands to Saudi Arabia Israel will agree to new security arrangements that will allow Egypt to transfer control of two strategic islands in the Red Sea to Saudi Arabia, the Jerusalem Post reported on Thursday.
