FOOD, INC. & GROWING CALLS FOR CHANGE IN THE ANTI-HEALTH ALLIANCE IN AMERICA I don't know why USA insurance and other insurance companies around the globe aren't supporting the film, FOOD INC. Bad nutrition and bad food offerings in supermarkets around the globe are causing more costs in health care than the nicotine industry causes annually.

On Continued Awareness of Religious Persecution Abroad--as well as in the USA Progressives should be careful and be fair in our narrations of religious persecution. The USA and other countries are persecuting Muslims. Other countries, like Eritrea, persecute both Muslims and Christians. In September I heard more news of Hindus with political clout persecuting Christians outside of India. USA sends law enforcement officials to force European countries to enforce anti-Muslim legislation..and in Burma..

An Active-Museum and How Oral, Aural, and Visual Memory Are Taught and Can Empower Peoples At a time when the USA has not even begun to deal with torture, it is interesting and important to see how museums and societies are dealing with crimes of the enormity of the Holocaust. The author lives in Germany and recently took a tour of the Westside neighborhood in Wiesbaden with the AKTIVE-MUSEUM. The Active Museum sees the whole city of Wiesbaden as living museum of Holocaust and Shoah crimes. If only other lands.

KUCINICH CHARGES THAT AMERICAN MEDIA OWNED BY MILITARY CONTRACTERS ARE BIASED AND SUPPORTS HIS CLAIM Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Ohio, Democratic Party Candidate for President) argued fairly successfully on the Voice of America (VOA) program , Press Conference USA of VOA News Now, this past weekend (Nov. 17, 2007) that the American media is biased against him and its campaign. This, he claims, is why he is not running at least 3rd or 4th in Democrat election polls already.

KEITH OLBERMAN SAID IT RIGHT, & We see "Worst Media Coverage on the newest Supreme Court DECISION in USA ever" With Haiti all over the news, the momentous story of Supreme court's activism in changing American democracy has been ignored by too many USA media giants and small-town wannabee media conglomerates.

Kuwait Expects to Deport over 800,000 Immigrants It sounds like at least 4 nations will suddenly have to find jobs for nearly a million people in the next year-otherwise Kuwait will not only be exporting oil, but unemployed peoples as well in 2009 and 2010.

Kansas City (Missouri and Kansas) , A Tale of Two States and the Corona Virus As a political, social and medical experiment one can juxtapose two state governors (A Kansan Democratic one and a Pro-Trump GOP one) and their responses to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Or, you can compare wealthy urban vs. inner city or suburban responses to the virus pandemic. The author does this by looking at lives in Metropolitan Kansas City

The late Clair Patterson, Dr. James Hansen and the Need for more Scientific Heroes across the Globe In the 20th Century one scientist was a bigger hero than most. He was Dr. Clair Patterson and against university leaders and against oil companies. He led the campaign to take lead out of our gasoline and stop poisoning our atmosphere. Now, in the 21st Century, we need many more scientists like him (from China to the USA to India)to stand up to their benefactors and leaders and get global warming under control and pronto.

"Wakarimashitaka?" Thirty Minutes with Ojii-San Itoigawa It has been nearly 15 years since I began writing about the issues around international comparative history and social-linguistic and cultural understandings in Japan. In that decade the world faced the 50th anniversary of the Bombing of Hiroshima, the end of the War in the Pacific and in most of the Western & Eastern World, and the end of Holocaust. It is now almost 15 years since those commemorations & new ones will come

HOW TURKISH-GERMANS & TURKS IN GERMANY SEE HOLOCAUST EDUCATION--Review of a Recent Poll Almost a week before international Holocaust Recognition Day (today January 27), the German newspaper, DIE ZEIT, ran a three article series on how Turkish Germans and Turkish peoples in Germany see the Holocaust and Holocaust education in Germany. One of the articles included a lengthy review of an opinion poll exclusively of Turkish Germans and Turkish peoples in Germany.

ONE OF THE WORST MILITARY OCCUPATIONS MONEY HAS EVER BOUGHT-ONE TESTIMONYAS TO WHY GENERAL PATREAUS AND OTHERS NEED TO B Capt. Montalvan joins hundreds of rank and file American and British armed force members who have "not find dying in Iraq very honorable" over the past five years. He spoke at the Winter Soldier hearings on Capital Hill this Thanksgiving weekend. [1] The basic message of Winter Soldier can be summed up in this statement, America. This statement came from Adam Kokesh, who cannot stand any more complicity by America in war

Why aren't more Anti-Trump Christian Ministers being persecuted in America this election? In the old days, sometimes congregations in America used to tar-and-feather ministers who spoke up against communal vices. In the Bible, Jesus told would-be Christian leaders and disciples: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. Be on your guard; you will be handed over to the local councils and be flogged in the synagogues [temples, churches]." Talk Trump now

It's the Footnote in NASA's Report that Worries Me--Just Another Asteroid Heading Our Way, eh? In January 2010, I barely followed the scientific and popular discussions around the world concerning whether the Apophis Asteroid will hit the earth--either in 2029 or 2036. I scoffed at the Russian worries that the earth might be hit or even disturbed by the comet.

AMERICANS OFTEN FORGET HOW MUCH HAITI AND EVENTS THERE AFFECTED EARLY U.S.A. HISTORY Three million human beings have been deeply hurt or affected by the destruction of Haiti, America's neighbor to the south and homeland for many legal residents in the USA. American compassion should come first. Then better education for all about American history and the history of underdevelopment in North America (including the Caribbean & Central America) should follow.

Business Management Practices Ensure Energy Tech Revolution Will Bypass U.S. In the Ford story, known as "Business Lesson from the Japanese," Ford management is used as a metaphor for the worst aspects of the anti-labor, and anti-developmental approach (of the worst corners) of the American leadership and corporate mismanagement business model of the 19th and 20th centuries. However, the same metaphor could be applied to General Motors or Citicorp or even the entire AMERICA INC.

JEREMY LAURANCE WRITES that MOST BABIES BORN IN BRITAIN TODAY WILL LIVE TO BE 120 I came across a Jeremy Laurance article that really made me think positively about the fact that Europe's population is continuing to get much older each year. The article was in the WORD AND PRESS (Feb. 1, 2009) and was entitled, " Most Babies Born in Britain will live to be 120". This demographic shift is already being perceived in Eastern Asian countries, such as Japan and South Korea. Retirement ages of 70+ are
