The Demise of the Mad Hatter We have a minimum of 662 military installations (Ron Paul put the number at over 900) in 38 foreign countries. Our "friends" all over the world do not pay a plug nickel for our services -- we provide the protection completely free-of-charge. These military installations cost us in excess of 200 billion dollars a year. Why are we so terribly generous?

Lewis Black: "Both Parties Are Bowls Of Sh*T" Americans wonder if we have any alternative to the two party system. "We are still the greatest country in the world," the "pundits" say. Anyway how do you fight the Supreme Court? If the Supreme Court says corporations are people and that money is speech, that's what it is. They could declare that a jockstrap is a hat, and their proclamation would make it true. And nothing short of hanging them can change anything.

The Energy of the Disenfranchised Majority Bernie is trying something he says never has been tried before: he is telling the truth, the straight truth.

Hillary Is Obama With Lipstick The Hillary Clinton candidacy represents a lose-lose situation for us. If she becomes president, she will be Obama with lipstick. (Isn't it time for us to face up to the fact that Obama has more in common with Reagan than with Roosevelt?). She will rule from the same ivory tower from which Obama peers down at us, and continue to cavort with billionaires and kings.

There Was No Election There was no election. Despite the cacophony of the major-media propagandists, liberals and progressives did not take a walloping; and there was no mandate for the lunatic fringe that runs the Republican Party.

Monsanto Versus Democracy In Vermont Monsanto is using its considerable power in Washington to hide what they are up to. At stake is not only your health, but the supply of all the world's food.

OBAMA, THE WOLF WHO CRIED BOY (with apologies to Canis lupis) OBAMA THE WOLF: He's proved over and over again that he's a wolf. If at this point you don't agree, you are negligently naïve. For example: Detainees in Guantanamo, who have been officially cleared for release, will die there.

Dear Obamaheads Obama would be happier if he were a Republican. So would most Democrats.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Superman, and the American Way We Americans argue a lot about second amendment rights. How many of us pay any attention to Sixth Amendment rights? The Sixth Amendment is far more important to protecting our liberty, yet most Americans do not even know it exists.

Saving Boy W. George's" Errr Face Reuters February 6, 2011: the Swiss will arrest the erstwhile President of the United States, better known to Washington insiders as Boy W. George, for violating the terms of the Convention on Torture, which was signed in 1987 by 147 countries including the United States and Switzerland, if he sets foot in Switzerland as planned.

BILLIONAIRES SHOULD PAY NO TAXES AT ALL! When Obama said America was being "held hostage" by the Republicans, that he had no choice but to compromise, he lied. He could have been the transformational leader that we thought we elected. he wasn't.
