We Americans argue a lot about second amendment rights. How many of us pay any attention to Sixth Amendment rights? The Sixth Amendment is far more important to protecting our liberty, yet most Americans do not even know it exists.

There was no election.
Despite the cacophony of the major-media propagandists, liberals and progressives did not take a walloping; and there was no mandate for the lunatic fringe that runs the Republican Party.

It boggles the imagination that America's 'most important ally' in the region has not put boots on the ground against ISIS. In a new ranking released by Business Insider, Israel has the most powerful military in the Middle East. It also ranked 1st in the region in military strength in the world by Global Firepower, which did not even include Israel's nuclear capability at the time of the ranking.

When Obama passes the gauntlet to Trump, the stage will have been set to take things even further. With only weeks left in office he suggests that "fake news" should be stopped. What do you think? Do you think the alt-right (Fascists) will like Obama's idea? Do you think they will like to stop news stories they don't like? Do you think they will continue Obama's policy of jailing journalists and arresting and torturing whistle

Americans wonder if we have any alternative to the two party system. "We are still the greatest country in the world," the "pundits" say. Anyway how do you fight the Supreme Court? If the Supreme Court says corporations are people and that money is speech, that's what it is. They could declare that a jockstrap is a hat, and their proclamation would make it true. And nothing short of hanging them can change anything.

The Hillary Clinton candidacy represents a lose-lose situation for us.
If she becomes president, she will be Obama with lipstick. (Isn't it time for us to face up to the fact that Obama has more in common with Reagan than with Roosevelt?). She will rule from the same ivory tower from which Obama peers down at us, and continue to cavort with billionaires and kings.

My problem with Joe Biden is that as much as I don't want to see Trump win, I find that I want Biden to lose. In real debates the participants ask each other questions, who follow up by answering, then asking more questions. In last night's 'debate' the highly filtered, expected 'questions' came mostly from Anderson Cooper, the moderator. The participants failed to question each other.
