Healthcare-NOW! is an education and advocacy organization that addresses the health insurance crisis in the U.S by advocating for the passage of national, single-payer healthcare legislation. Right now, the National Health Insurance Act (HR 676) is the only legislation that will create a national, single-payer healthcare system. We see healthcare as a human right, not a privilege tied to the ability to pay.

This election was also about health care and the progressive change that was promised but not delivered. The voters punished the corporate Democrats who helped block legislation to help working people, the unemployed, & those without health care. 79 of the 81 co-sponsors of HR676 Medicare for all bill were re-elected. Every Bluedog Dem who blocked renewing unemployment benefits lost. 28 of 54 Bluedog Democrats were defeated.
