Deane Waldman, M.D. MBA, is Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, Pathology, and Decision Science; former Director of Center for Healthcare Policy at Texas Public Policy Foundation; and author of multi-award-winning book, Curing the Cancer in U.S. HealthcareStatesCare and Market-Based Medicine.

"Dr. Deane" Waldman gives talks and writes articles as well as books solely for one purpose: to practice good medicine on a single, critically ill patient, named U.S. Healthcare System.

Dr. Deane's education and training were at: Yale (BA, History), Chicago Medical School (MD), Mayo Clinic, Northwestern, Harvard, and Anderson Graduate Schools (MBA). Dr. Deane is former Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at San Diego Children's Hospital, University of Chicago, and University of New Mexico. He has published more than 300 articles on healthcare in The Hill, Forbes, Huffington Post, Investor's Business Daily, Real Clear Health, Fox News, USA Today, and The Federalist, amongst others.

Dr. Deane has published six eBooks, four Bestsellers, as well as five print books. His latest book is the culmination of his healthcare series, "Curing the Cancer in U.S. Healthcare."

Dr. Deane is currently Distinguished Senior Fellow in Healthcare Policy at Texas Public Policy Foundation and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics, Pathology, and Decision Science.

In 2013, Governor Susana Martinez appointed Dr. Deane to the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange where he still serves.

Washington Should Leave Healthcare to States Fifty years of Washington healthcare "fixes," most recently the ACA, have brought us to the present crisis: unaffordable health insurance and life-saving care often unavailable. Based on its track record, as well as medical, ethical and legal concerns, Washington should allow We the People in their states to decide what types of healthcare systems they want.
