Celebrating The Real St Patrick'S Day St Patrick's Day traditionally in Ireland involved celebrating (ie religious observances) the day as a religious holy day. What it has turned into is an inversion of the reality of tradition. Included in the article are references to Irish immigration during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, almost all to do with the British Empire and its neglect of the Indigenous Irish population in favor of empowering wealthy elites.
