Political Talk Shows, The Fairness Doctrine and Presidential Elections Critique of failures of main stream media. Result of the loss of the Fairness Doctrine and successive Administrations' not enforcing anti-trust laws. Drastic industry consolidation followed, including all media. Media moved from informing the public to infotainment. Democracy is harmed when the peoples are not well informed or are deliberately propagandized by corporate media to their point of view.
