Mainstream Media and Fake News, From ImagesAttr
(1 comments) SHARE More Sharing        Tuesday, September 26, 2017
MSM Fake News Monitor: Indian Express on BHU Facebook today came out with a full-page advertisement in Indian Express (September 26, 2017) with 10 tools for a reader to check if a news is fake. It asks readers to check headlines, evidence, photos, source to spot a Fake News. It's a good reference point to monitor India's English national dailies--Lutyens' Media-- who abound in Fake News.
Pakistan: A vanishing space for minorities, From ImagesAttr

Minorities: Wish Imran Khan looks at this mirror of his own Mr Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, please don't be a joke. You want Pakistan to be a shining light of example for India in its treatment of minorities. It must be the cruelest joke not only on Hindus, Sikhs and Christians of whosoever are left in Pakistan but also on fellow Muslims such as Shias and Ahmadiyyas in the persecution of which you've played your hand.

Ms Sonia Gandhi: Tell us he is not your Hit-Man Political parties are known to have their drum-beaters, the paid pens, who first get their credibility--and bank balance--built by their patrons and then use their sword-pen to further their cause. But at what cost?
Supreme Court: activism or populism?, From ImagesAttr

Lynchings: Activism or populism by Supreme Court? The fear is, judiciary is increasingly suspected of courting populism. When judges address press conference; when it opens its doors in midnight (not Karnataka, this is about Karti Chidambaram being granted relief at Madras High Court judge's residence), when judiciary addresses "adda" of a newspaper, it's suspected of PR, showcasing itself in better light than its brothers-in-arm, executive and judiciary.
Horrid twist to Modi's gesture, From ImagesAttr

Horrid twist to Modi's gift of cows to Rwanda So Muslims can live without polygamy but they can't without beef. What logic is this? Especially when beef-eating is not mandatory in Quran (I am not even quoting Rizvi who says cow-meat is "haraam" in Islam). Just imagine the outpouring of goodwill if Muslims went public with the intention of forsaking beef. It would bridge the divide like nothing else in this country.

The IS-module accused find sympathy in Lutyens' Media What's the message that's being conveyed to Muslims of this country: Before you start feeling guilty and sheepish about the act a few men within your own community, you could flash these newspapers to your detractors about the "frame-up" that's being perpetrated by the Indian state through its agencies against Muslims.
Muslims are led astray like cattles by media, From ImagesAttr

Beware Muslims, you're led astray like cattle by media The latest scientific report from the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos asks beef consumers to cut down on its consumption and improve their life-span by 5 to 7%. Red meat means higher cholesterol and blood pressure, both of which can lead to heart disease and stroke, and deliver few benefits by way of fiber and potassium. Beans and Peas are excellent alternatives to beef.
Brinda Karat: A bout of amnesia, From ImagesAttr
(1 comments) SHARE More Sharing        Saturday, April 14, 2018
Spot the pattern in Gauri Lankesh, Kathua and Unnao Brinda Karat of CPI (M) has suffered from amnesia in accusing BJP leaders of complicity-by-support in the Kathua and Unnao rape incidents in an edit piece in The Hindu on Friday. The thing most common in amnesia of course is memory loss--hopefully temporary in Brinda's case though with the Left-Liberal-Media gang you could be sure it's more likely a front to their shameless lies and propaganda.

Thank God Congress-JDS; for there is Indian Express Karnataka is important to Indians in many respects: it's a template for opposition unity; alligators and hippos sunning together. The 6.41-crore people of the state have suffered a thousand cuts; being treated no better than cattle. First, made to lock horns; then kiss each other's back and finally, left to numbness inside a deep freezer. A 37-seat party chief was hoisted as Chief Minister in a 224-seat state.

Hope Express has not let Vishal Bhardwaj down Indian Express is letting itself down so badly on the ethics of journalism that it's a cause for concern for its loyal readers, more so since the Press Council of India (PCI) and Editors' Guild appears an acquiescing party due to its silence.

Grand Opposition Alliance? You must be joking Indian Express ran a front-page story on Tuesday with the screaming headline: "Maya to Party: Back SP again in coming bypolls..." Times of India, the same day, ran the headline "Maya won't support SP in bypolls." One of them for sure is lying.
Citizens defied Supreme Court on firecrackers, From ImagesAttr

Deepawali defiance has a grave message Deepawali is second to none in a Hindu calendar, carrying an ethical lesson on good lording over the evil in the form of their supreme deity, Ram. Tragically, the news in newspapers is about seizing of firecrackers, violations and arrests, with the same sense of foreboding as bomb-attacks in our cities, seizures of cache of rifles, machine guns or handcuffed terrorists. A classic case of solutions being worse than the malady.

Does Manmohan care about India or Congress? Does Manmohan Singh care about India or Congress? If he cared about India, he would've earned the gratitude of a billion-plus Indians by stepping down as Prime Minister as his party spawned a million scams.

Joke is on Siddaramaiah; he and his loyalists are now BJP's B team!!! The joke is on Siddaramaiah. The former Karnataka chief minister had dubbed Janata Dal (Secular) as the B team of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run-up to the Karnataka elections last month. It would appear that he and his supporting MLAs and ministers today snugly fit the inscription as BJP's B team themselves!!!

I mean how fake could you really get!!!

Modi-Imran in SCO: Be ready for some tough pictures It would be a hectic two days for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (June 13-14). The flight detour through Oman and Iran too wouldn't have helped. Then there is this little matter of bilateral talks with at least five heads of states.

Welcome SC on RTI in Rafale; How about "contempt of court" now? The reaction of the Supreme Court, rather of one Justice K.M. Joseph, that Right to Information Act cannot be held back because of Official Secrets Act, if it pertains to charges of "corruption and human rights", is a valid point and must be welcomed.
