President Bush's mindset is already back in Crawford, Texas. He wants out of this job faster than a car at Nascar. To paraphrase Howard Fineman yesterday as he was being interviewed on Hardball, he has the towel around his neck and is in the locker-room. I just wish there were a way of getting him out those locker-room doors and sent on his way back to Texas.

On any given night, I watch MSNBC's "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" with David Gregory, but in his absence Mika Brzezinski has been sitting in the anchor chair. Please come back, Mr. Gregory since this news anchor fawns all over Sarah Palin.

It is my hope that Gov. Sarah Palin learns from all of this, moves on, and governs her state. To those anonymous sources who look to tear her down again and again, at least Palin still holds an elected position as governor of Alaska. What position of any relevance do you hold? Nada!
SHARE Friday, November 7, 2008 After voting in the presidential race: Keep on voting...You may just like it
With this past presidential race now behind us, one has to wonder if young voters, first time voters and minorities will show up to vote in 2009. Is their such an urgency to GOTV in these local races in off-year elections? Not really. I guess voting for one's local candidate is not as important and nothing can be farther from the truth.

In this blistering defeat, those like Coulter are acting like petulant children who did not get their way and thank God they did not. It is as if she is threw herself to the floor throwing a tantrum. It is up to all of us to send her and others just like her to their corner for an extended time-out.

We as Americans have come so far and we still have a long ways to go. But yesterday we joined hands to better this democracy of ours. Last night's resounding victory in electing President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect, Joe Biden, Americans said, "Yes, we can!"

As so many have felt powerless over these many years, now is our time to vote and say to both Bush and McCain we the people reject your polices. The motto of the Obama/Biden campaign has been, "Yes we can" Now let us go out and claim it for ourselves and our country. In essence, it is the line, stupid!
(6 comments) SHARE Saturday, November 1, 2008 Sarah Palin and the prank call: The GOP's self-inflicted November surprise
Over the next two days she will be barnstorming on behalf of Senator John McCain and she will deliver tough messages and why voters should vote for their ticket. After today's prank that was pulled on her, she lost whatever credibility the Republican ticket thought they had.
(3 comments) SHARE Friday, October 31, 2008 Sarah Palin tries to sell a scary message of Barack Obama on this Halloween Day
In keeping with a scary theme on this Halloween Day, I will end this piece by citing, Senator Thad Cochran who is a Republican senator had to say of John McCain, "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine," Cochran told the Globe. "He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."
(1 comments) SHARE Thursday, October 30, 2008 We must ask of McCain and Palin: How long these wars?
Now is the time that we seize the day along with Barack Obama and Joe Biden to bring a responsible end to this war in Iraq, because if we do not we must all ask should McCain and Palin prevail: How long these wars and this war to be specific?
(2 comments) SHARE Wednesday, October 29, 2008 Let us bank on hope instead of fear and elect Barack Obama our next president
Senator Obama has given us a closing summation and now it is time to help not only him, but ourselves and make sure that we get out the vote for Barack Obama and make him our next president. Let us bank on hope instead of fear. We must keep the Obama/Biden campaign motto in our minds and hearts and that is, "Yes, we can!"
SHARE Sunday, October 26, 2008 Shut your doors as Sarah Palin gallops on her horse that the Democrats are coming
The very definition of insanity is to do the same thing expecting different results. I want some sanity restored within our government. So, if you do see Sarah Palin acting like Paul Revere, just close your doors and tell her you are not buying her message of fear. It seems that fear is all they have to give us.

I for one am getting darned sick of the racist overtones coming from the conservative-right. How dare they lash out at those who oppose them when hate runs through their veins. How dare they lash out at my Irish brother who happens to have African blood in him as well.
