"Interesting bromides" that entered the "American political lexicon" What may have we become as a people? Have we changed using what writer Jacob Hornberger says are "interesting bromides" as when we say to American soldiers, "Thank you for your service", "defending & protecting our country"? Because it's neither defending & protecting our country. Iraq & Afghanistan didn't invade our country. It should be "Thank you for your killing." The real service we do is killing people. Lots of people.

Cannon fodder to the "deep state" To the deep state in America winning conflicts-most of which it initiated-isn't necessary. It doesn't care about winning & losing, the expansion of terrorism, hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing their war torn countries or even US military killed in futile battles. They are but cannon fodder to the sociopaths that put them in harm's way. Are we too not cannon fodder to that deep state, propagandized to support our wars?

The Indelible American Stain in Iraq Revealed by "Wikileaks" Iraq has been pretty much out of the news in recent months. However the latest Wikileaks disclosure of 300.000 classified documents relating to the extent of so many indiscriminate killings committed by private contractors done w/ impunity and no fear of accountability is quite revealing. These latest revelations have the Pentagon blasting the whistle blower but their every utterance just makes them look more perverse.

Charlatans all The political conventions are over w/ each party's charlatan now formally in place. Clinton & Trump will spend the next 3 months in character assassination saying he, she is unfit to be the next president. No one w/ integrity has a chance of being elected much less nominated in our 2 party duopoly, beyond redemption & incapable of reform. Only a 3rd party rejecting corp. control could transform the current corrupt system.

Nader "feared that the population was so effectively anesthetized by mass culture that it might not rise up against the elites. The US has developed a society...living in virtual reality...wallowing in text messages". He worries "as long as 10 to 15% of the American people are well off" and the contented classes aren't upset, the system is in lock."

Have we lost sight of what's important? What to make of some things lately in the MSM, internet & social apps i.e. This thing over sexuality. That designating a men's & women's room discriminate against transsexuals use of the rest room of their preference. Now there shouldn't be discrimination against anyone however they want to depict themselves. But is choice of a potty a critical issue? There are real problems facing this country. Potty use isn't one of them.

Any incoming ballistic missile launched at Russian territory will be met with a nuclear retaliation because there is no way of knowing whether the missile is a conventional or nuclear warhead. To put it bluntly, a missile attack on Russian soil will bring a nuclear retaliatory strike on the aggressor as Russian orbiting satellites will detect precisely where a missile attack was launched.

Are The Neo-Con Crazies In Charge In Washington? Are the neocon crazies in charge in Washington? It's information overload. Those infected, recovered, tested, treatments, remedies, vaccines. What's the truth? Are there exaggerations? Hamas attack in Israel October 7 and getting it to overreact has succeeded getting the world to condemn Israel It's quite possible Hamas surprise attack in Israel on October 7th where 1400 Israeli's were killed over 240 hostages taken was intended to get the Israeli's to overreact kill thousands of women and children indiscriminately so the world would condemn Israel. At this point it might be safe to say Hamas has succeeded and achieved its aim.

US approves nuclear capable F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine Yesterday, US Nat'l Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded, "We gave informed the nuclear powers-the US, UK and France-that Russia can't ignore the ability of these aircraft to carry nuclear weapons" and "this may lead to catastrophic consequences."

Liberation of Syrian people in Idlib may have begun Yesterday the Russian air strikes struck al Qaeda positions in Idlib Syria. This could be the 1st phase liberating Syrians held hostage by US backed proxy jihadists. Friday the presidents of Russia & Turkey meet w/ the Iranians in Tehran presumably over the final assault on Idlib. Washington is none too pleased w/ Trump advisor Bolton saying if chemical weapons are used we will respond strongly. This is precarious as it gets.

Was the US lockdown and shutdown of the country over Covid-19 justified? As we enter the almost two month lockdown over Covid-19 in the US, the millions initially projected to die from the virus has been drastically revised downward to some 250,000 worldwide & up to 100,000 in the US. A question arises were the measures undertaken by gov'ts, the lockdown, businesses required to close, schools closed. Throughout history there's never been a lockdown over a virus epidemic. Was it all justified?

The Rise of America's "Shadow Army" Hamid Karsai wants all private security contractors out in four months. They have been implicated in the killing of innocent civilians. Karsai didn't mention the "shadow army" of private contractor mercenaries fighting a proxy war in Afghanistan and responsible for killing many innocents. They are the Pentagons de facto army. Sadly, this is a background story most Americans are unaware of.

"Official" Washington, madness prevails Consider the latest shenanigans in "official" Washington. It's not hard to conclude the goings on show madness prevails. How else to describe the Fed'l gov't shutdown. Trump blames the Dems. They blame him. On the int'l front Trump's back & forth on the troop w/drawal in Syria. Then his tariff war w/ China along w/ freedom of navigation provocations in the S. China Sea. Call it the new normal. What could possibly go wrong?
