David Benjamin is a novelist and journalist, originally from Madison, Wisconsin. He now splits his time between New York and Paris. He is the author of The Life & Times of the Last Kid Picked (Random House, 2002) and is currently working on a new novel as well as revisions to his nonfiction guide to Japan's national sport, The Joy of Sumo. His work has appeared in many periodicals, including the New York Times, L.A. Times, Chicago Tribune, Philadelphia Inquirer, etc.
