Cathy Pagano is a spiritual advisor and Jungian psychotherapist, storyteller, author and teacher. She is the author of a book on the return of the Goddess, "Wisdom's Daughters: How Women Can Change the World". Cathy trained at the C. G. Jung Institut-Zurich in dream interpretation, has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology in Feminine Spirituality, and is a certified Life Coach. As an astrologer and storyteller, she weaves the Cosmic Stories written in the stars. From The Bard's Grove, she writes about emerging archetypal themes in movies and books. Cathy works with the tools of the imagination - dreams, alchemy, myths, astrology, symbolic language, storytelling, ritual - to awaken the Soul's wisdom.

I believe that Americans are called to a higher consciousness at this point in our history. We are called on to live up to our ideals and create the country our forefathers imagined. Inner consciousness needs to be acted upon for social justice.

Cathy believes that our writers and artists must take up our responsibility to create art that inspires, teaches and heals our humanity.

Cathy writes about political, psychological/spiritual, and cultural issues.

The Cosmic Story: Sagittarius Full Moon 2015 This Gemini/Sagittarius Full Moon explores the different ways we use our Mind. The trouble is being too dependent on our rational left brain, which is overwhelmed by information every day. It's time to sink into the right brain imagination to sort through the clutter in our minds. Times awastin'! We need a new story.

The Cosmic Story: 2nd Aquarius New Moon 2015 We've been talking about the Age of Aquarius since the 60s, but what do we really think that is going to be like? Yes I know the song-harmony and under-standing, sympathy and love abounding. But beyond that, what is this mysterious Aquarian energy? I think Aquarius represents the Quantum Field, the field of possibilities, the realm of archetypal patterns. If so, we need to change our story and recognize what it means to us.

The Cosmic Story: Pisces New Moon 2014 Friday's dreamy New Moon in Pisces might be confusing, especially since Mercury goes direct hours before the New Moon and Mars goes retrograde the next morning. Shifting energies means nothing is as it seems. So go with the flow (a very Piscean thing to do) and see where you end up. That's hard on our patriarchal consciousness, but too bad. That's life!

The Cosmic Story: Leo Full Moon, January 23-24, 2016 Time to Light Our Fire Can there be any doubt that we are being called to service? Our revolution has to be peaceful, attuned to the greater good, which means we all have to participate in our society. Give your leadership, creativity, healing abilities and your commitment to bringing your unique insight and perspective to bear on personal, family, community, country and world issues. It's time to stop complaining about things and go do it ourselves

Scorpio Full Moon, May 8-9, 2009 This is my favorite full Moon of the year. I'm a Taurus you see and love this most beautiful time of the year, with the bushes flowering and all the trees greening. And of course it's also Wesak, the full Moon under which the Buddha was born, achieved enlightenment and finally passed from this world which he had so much compassion for.

The Cosmic Story: 3rd Uranus/Pluto Square--May 20, 2013 Since the 60s, we have been traveling down the road of evolution and revolution. Hopefully we are heading toward greater compassion and enlightenment. The 3rd square between the planets that brought us the 60s is upon us. To make lasting changes in our society, we have to see and acknowledge the corruption of our corporate governments (Pluto in Capricorn) and then be brave enough to take a stand for change (Uranus in Aries).

Emerging Archetypal Themes: Whale Rider, Aries and the Female Leader. Emerging Archetypal Themes is a blog about those important collective energies that can change our view of life. The old world's paradigm is changing, and we need to understand what energies will help us meet our future. One of these new archetypes is the Female Leader. And the 2002 movie Whale Rider is a beautiful example of this important issue.

The Cosmic Story: January 2020: And So It Begins! This weekend begins a year-long shift in consciousness. The old patriarchal paradigm is truly on its way out and a new vision of the future is becoming clearer. While Trump and company try to pull us back into the past, the cosmic energies are leading the way to the future. There's going to be a restructuring of our society - whether we like it or not. Let's make it work for us -- not corporations or the moneyed elite.

Taurus Full Moon 2008: Time to Examine our Values This Scorpio/Taurus Full Moon addresses our shared values, our money issues and our ability to transform ourselves if we hold to a higher vision. So let's all vote again for that higher vision of change that was voted into office on November 5th. Whether you voted for Obama or McCain, we find ourselves in the midst of a sea-change which began in the 60s and which will continue until at least 2015 if not beyond.

Emerging Archetypal Themes: Avatar - Spiritual Earth Our souls need archetypal stories to structure our psychic energy, and Avatar speaks to the part of us that knows we need to take care of Nature, both Earth's nature and our own. The astrological sign of Taurus is concerned with the Earth, our bodies and our values. This film confronts us with the question: Is the Earth important enough to you to SAVE?

The Cosmic Story: Aquarius New Moon 2016 The New World Arising We've reached the first power-gate of the year and the light is growing. It's time to envision what you want your life to look like in the coming year. Don't forget to add Freedom, Originality and Purpose to that picture.Just as we're seeing the great divide between Americans on the politically conservative Right and the future-oriented progressives on the Left stand up for their beliefs, it's time to stand up for our beliefs.

The Cosmic Story: Taurus Full Moon, October 27, 2015 The Wheel of the Year is turning, and now we enter the darkest time of year here in the northern hemisphere. We celebrate the death of the year on Samhain or Halloween. This week's Taurus Full Moon takes up that theme, of conserving the fundamental things in life and letting go of what no longer serves our life. It's all about changing our relationships and balancing the masculine and feminine energies of life.

Living the Symbolic Life: The Pisces Challenge Living a symbol life meaning diving deep into life, seeing the spiritual purpose of why we're alive. It goes against the grain of our society, but it's what is needed to change the world. When we see the spirit in life it takes us beyond what we consume and own and into the realm of why we're here and what we are responsible for.

Part 2: How Artists Can Occupy Main Street The great mystic William Blake said, "Artists will be the priests and priestesses of the new age'. One way to creatively grow the Occupy Movement is for Artists to Occupy Main Street -- not with sit-ins and protests, but by occupying the minds and hearts of people back home with the real stories of our times.

The Cosmic Story: Pisces Solar Eclipse, March 8-9, 2016 We're entering Eclipse season--there are 4-5 eclipses each year, signaling either important beginnings and endings that shift energy and create a matrix for change. This Pisces New Moon eclipse takes us into the Dreaming Mind--the creative imagination that has been colonized by our patriarchal media. This is the perfect time to pay attention to your dreams, visions and reveries. It's time to reclaim our power--our soul.

The Cosmic Story: Aries/Libra Full Moon 2016 Watch out for an explosive weekend with the Aries Full Moon aligning with the Great Awakener, Uranus and the new dwarf planet, Eris--the goddess of conflict and discord, which means 'disconnected from the heart'. So the lesson of this Full Moon is to stay connected to your heart and be willing to stand up for your truth. In this wild election season, look at how we created this mess by allowing patriarchy to continue to rule.

Why Democrats Need to learn the Art of Slogans. The media is poking fun of Marianne Williamson's response to the debate's last question. But a lot of what she said during the debate was right on. We need to take a bigger view of things. We need to state the story so people are excited about the future. It's the heroes journey for all of us. So how can the democratic contenders beat out Trumps' 'make America great again' slogan?

The Cosmic Story: Pisces Solar Eclipse, February 26, 2017 I"m back for this Pisces Solar Eclipse because this is the time for us to dream a new dream. Look back over your life and see what the lessons were. Take the wisdom and let go of the lesson. It's time to move on. The world needs us to take stands. It really is time to change our world. It will take a few years so we have to sustain ourselves and set a steady pace. Use this eclipse energy to meditate on your unfolding story.

The Cosmic Story: Cancer New Moon 2015 Each New Moon brings us a new beginning. The New Moon in Cancer focuses our attention on our emotional well-being. Cancer symbolizes the Nurturing Mother, the ocean where life began. At the moment, our oceans are polluted and dying. What does that say about our emotional life? This New Moon, focus on what nurtures you--love, family, emotional intelligence and creativity.

The Cosmic Story: Capricorn New Moon 2018 The New Feminine/Goddess has return to collective consciousness, after being exiled since the 80s. This is a consciousness of our own feminine gifts, rather than being judged by masculine measurements. This week's Capricorn New Moon is aligned with these energies. It's time to build a society with heart, where life is the central value rather than the economy.
