Take Action - Write, fax, or call the Commissioner of Education and the NYS Board of Regents and tell them to stop the use of electronic voting machines that have not been approved by the NYS Board of Elections - it will undermine citizen confidence that the election results are legitimate, and open the election to legal challenges throwing the outcome of the election into question for months.

The NY State BOE has announced dates for "usability" testing,which will establish the number of voters that can be served in an election by each voting system submitted for NYS certification. This is a vitally important test, as it will determine how many new voting machines will be required to replace each lever machine, and therefore determine the number of voting machines that must be purchased by New York counties.
