US House Candidate Peter Goldmark farms in Eastern Washington, so he knows how tough it is to survive in family farming, but with his doctorate in molecular biology, he's developed a strain of wheat that grows great in spite of Eastern Washington's long winters and dry summers. He's also pushing hard for support for farmers to grow National Security Crops--oil seed and ethanol-producing crops to reduce foreign oil dependence.
