Statements in Maine's Sen. Snowe television ad not supported by votes Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jean Hay Bright of Maine takes her opponent, Olympia Snowe, to task for distortions and omissions in a television ad. Hay Bright says Snowe is afraid to admit that she supports the Iraq war and the Bush-Cheney agenda, and that Snowe misleads voters by claiming to "stand up for the rights of women" even though she voted to confirm Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.
