William(Bill)Smith, Ph.D. an author, psychotherapist, consultant and personal coach. My practice focuses on online counseling, phone and face-to-face session with survivors of personal trauma, childhood abuse, relationship concerns, and individual troubled by depression or confusing emotions. When you are ready for help I am as near as your computer.

As a psychotherapist and consultant, I philosophically believe in the ability of mankind to achieve any goal truly desired. I, also, believe that human being's capacity for personal growth is limited solely by his or her imagination. Man is a unique organism;and is the only organism with the capacity to transcend his environment. Man is a self-creating being who was not innately endowed with personality or goals;but must choose them by acts of individual decisions.

I earned a doctoral degree in psychology from Kensington University, Glendale, CA. Masters in psychology and family counseling from Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY. Bachelor degree double major in Psy/Soc. from Lehman College, Bronx, NY. I completed four years of intensive training in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at Lenox Hill Medical Center, NY.

I have had the pleasure of teaching the concepts and theories of psychology and the techniques of psychoanalysis at several post graduate program in the NY/NJ area. Presently I am an adjunct professor of psychology at Hudson CountyCommunity College, NJ.

I am the author of several articles on the subject of Post Traumatic Disorder(PTSD)Childhood sexual Abuse, Body Dysmorphic Disorder(BDD) and articles on drug abuse and alcoholism.
