Palestine in Bloom? We've all been subjected to an endless litany of how bad things are in Palestine. But, is it possible things are complex enough that two realities can exist - for different groups of people in different places at different times? Today, an article came out in the Wall Street Journal, and repeated with more extensive photos (22) that seems to show a thriving, even bustling Palestinian territory, even in Gaza.

The Debate is no debate Like most progressives, I've gotten used to lowering my expectations for Obama to the subbasement. Well, get out the shovel, because it's time to dig to a new level, maybe -10. Aren't these two supposed to have significantly different views of the country, the role of government, etc? How do you "pal around" with someone you vehemently disagree with?
