impact of recent typhoons on Fukushima Daiichi Fukushima Daiichi keeps getting worse. Each year the typhoons are bigger and stronger, and the water dumped on the crippled reactor site mingles with the groundwater, radioactive from contact with the molten cores. Earthquakes continue. Japan has no business spending money and energy on the 2020 Olympics

Japan should honorably resign as host of 2020 Summer Olympics Why expose the world's finest young athletes and their fans to radiation? Tokyo is already contaminated from Fukushima Daiichi, and will only get worse. This is a propaganda ploy, to protect the nuclear industry and the Japanese economy. It continues the coverup and maintains denial. Moving the Olympics would be a wake-up call, to face the truth about nuclear pollution.

Why Japan should resign as host of 2020 Summer Olympics There is a huge risk that the world's finest young athletes and their fans will be exposed to radiation from Fukushima Daiichi in 2020. The Japanese should face reality and honorably retreat from hosting the Games, so they can be resited in a timely manner.

The miracle needed is humanity's willingness to face the mess we've made and our resolution to turn it back into a garden. We are approaching the winter solstice of 2012, the date fixed by the Mayans as a time of great change on the planet. Some of us look for a change of planetary consciousness for the better. Recent large earthquake near Fukushima The reactor complex at Fukushima Daiichi, where little progress has been made on cleaning up, continues to be at risk for another catastrophe, much greater than Chernobyl. A Dec. 7th earthquake, magnitude 7.3, should wake us up.

Fukushima Denial/Awareness We have a choice. We can deny the imminent threat posed by the damaged Fukushima reactors, or we can unite and work together to demand that all possible measures be taken, as quickly as possible, to defuse the danger.

petition on Fukushima to Senators Boxer and Feinstein Senator Wyden of Oregon toured the crippled Fukushima reactors recently, and was frightened by what he saw. This petition is an effort to raise consciousness to prevent a Chernobyl-like explosion, which could easily occur if Japan doesn't get more help with the cleanup, before another major earthquake sets off the spent fuel pools.

Street Spirit March 2012- A Review This paper is largely devoted to how nonviolent strategy can make social change happen. It addresses the conflict within the Occupy movement between proponents of nonviolent resistance and people advocating violent rebellion, or "diversity of tactics", in a series of articles. I highly recommend the March 2012 issue of Street Spirit to anyone interested in social change.
