An erstwhile Philosopher and sometime Educator, Jerry Tenuto is a veteran of seven years service in the U.S. Army. He holds a BS and MA in Broadcast Communications from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. For two decades Jerry filled the airwaves with rock, roll and banter as a disc jockey -- until greed, the rebirth of payola, and de-Reaganlation ruined that medium. Depending upon your taste in political stew, you can either blame or thank Jerry for his weekly "Out Of The Blue" feature in THE LONE STAR ICONOCLAST, Crawford, Texas, www.LoneStarIcon.com -- because somebody from that community has to do the world right.

FROM E-MAIL TO Z “Out Of The Blue” -- Ding-dong, Zarkawi's dead. Maybe. If we can believe the gub'ment. My e-mail went off on some weird Cybervacation. And Ann Coulter angers everyone with a heart, courage and a brain. Someone get that woman a childhood.

YAKOV’S CATCH-PHRASE NO LONGER APPLIES Is it possible that the BushCheney NSA wiretrapping scheme keeps comic Yakov Smirnov awake at night with nightmares of KGB horrors? Do GOP members of Congress suddenly jolt from their sleep in a cold sweat, visions of FBI office raids dancing through their heads? Should VA bureaucrats be entrusted with anyone's personal data?

WAR'S BEEN CALLED A LOT OF THINGS, BUT 'BIRTH PANGS'? Could there be anyone less sincere and more ineffective to negotiate terms when people's lives are at stake than Condoleezza Rice? Okay, I'll give you Robert Bolton... The ineptitude of King George XLIII's ersatz "diplomats" is sufficient to end in total world catastrophe.

WHEN OUR REPUBLIC CEASED TO BE Oliver Stone's remarkable film, "JFK", continually lambasted by Rightists since its release in 1991, shines with entirely new brilliance, luster and insight following the relative calm of the Clinton years -- despite that "vast Right-wing conspiracy" to bring down his presidency -- and the complete mess King George XLIII and court have made of our Nation and the Planet. One can only assume Stone had a crystal ball...

I'LL HAVE A SIDE OF KARMA WITH THAT Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- We've have more than our fair share of bad Karma in the USA since December, 2000. It's high time we spread good and shed ourselves of evil.

CONDI GOES TO WHITE BRED SOUTH The Catholic Church's "Crusades" sought to replace Islam with the glory of Jesus at swordpoint, led by the Pope and King Richard. The con was a "search" for the Holy Grail. The new "crusades" have King George XLIII bamboozling evangelicals into believing he's killing Muslims and brave Americans for Christ. Condi went to the SBC to rally these suckers on to further expeditions in the GOP quest for oil, riches and power.

ROVE COMES OUT On June 22, 2005, when GOP Ubermeister Karl Rove laid out his vision for total Neo-con control of Amerika and the Planet Earth before the Conservative Party of New York State, the mainstream media chose to focus upon a scant few paragraphs in which he denegrated all Liberals and Democrats for being too wimpy on security issues. Here, a surgical scalpel is taken to his maniacal worldview as presented in its totality.

WHEN YOU REACH THE EDGE OF THE SEA, STOP! The White House Cabal kicked off its 2006 "Campaign of Fear" Tour with speeches by Condoliesa, Rummy and King George XLIII at the American Legion Convention, which was held in peace-loving Salt Lake City where they were all unwelcome; and at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention by draft-dodger #1 Dark Lord Cheney. When the true heroes welcome and cheer the chickenhawks, we're living out a Rod Serling teleplay.

THE HOUSE IN OUR HOUSES Achival Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- Friday, March 31, 2006 will mark the 1st Anniversary of the death of Terri Schiavo. During the last days of her life Republicans of the highest magnitude made her the unwitting poster girl for totalitarian control over everything personal and private. This expanded column was written as the events played out over those insane days that gave new meaning to "March Madness."

Lessons of "LAWRENCE OF ARABIA" Archival Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- Brits have been struggling with Islamic peoples far longer than we Americans. They should have learned something by now, as we should have by being outside observers. But this is the result when so-called leaders only pay attention to the voices in their own heads.

BUSH’S LOAD IS TOO MUCH EXCESS WEIGHT Wouldn't it be a lovely day in North America if we didn't have to fret ourselves with the Karl Rove-controlled Regime of George W. Bush?

THE ABOMINABLE STATE OF OUR COURTS As the old adage goes, "Throw enough dung against a wall and some of it's bound to stick," Bush just keeps tossing the same ideologue, activist judicial nominees into the arena for lifetime seats on Appellate Courts. I COULD RETIRE ON $400 MILLION… MAYBE The CEO of EXXON/Mobil retires with a package worth an unseemly $400 Million today, who knows how much in 10 years. Is any man's work worth that much remuneration? Plus, blight-upon-free thought Ann Coulter ignores facts, blaming the victims of tragedies and their families for the evil that befell them. Just another week in Right-wing run media America.

"IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO THINK..." Once upon a time, teachers and others interested in the welfare of young minds used a phrase, "Put your thinking caps on." The very concept of free thought has become lost within America and its schools...

KING GEORGE AND THE MORAL BOUNDARY According to the logic of King George XLIII, 'tis better to kill and maim human beings who are already alive and breathing, with families and friends who love them, than to make use of Petri dish goo that by definition is not a "person" to help the suffering and sorrow of humanity. That sure is some Christian learnin' he's had.

KENT STATE -- IN MEMORIAM Four students were ruthlessly slaughtered on a university campus in America's heartland on a beautiful spring day in 1970. It seems as though we have learned nothing since then. DON'T DeLay YOUR DEPARTURE, TOM -- D.C. NEEDS FRESH AIR Doing what he does best, turning tail and scurring away to hide -- a trick he learned, no doubt, from his profession of pest exterminator -- Tom DeLay has promised to finally leave Congress. Still, he refuses to accept any responsibility for his own demise, blaming everyone he could label "Liberal." Yet I seriously doubt Jesus attended the evangelical rally supporting his "personal persecution" by the anti-Christian left.

OH, GROW UP, AMERICA The first theatrical Hollywood movie dramatizing a 9/11/2001 event will be released this week. Some theatres have pulled the trailer due to a few patron complaints that it's too soon to see on the big screen. Such inability to handle to handle reality dishonors those brave passengers of "UNITED 93" while it bolsters the fear terrorist leaders of al Qaeda and the Republican Party.

NO NEED TO FRET... RUMMY'S NOT CONCERNED Grandpappy Donny Rumsfeld recently took his two young charges, Petie Pace and Johnny Abizaid, on a trip to visit with a Senate committee up on Capitol Hill. CAN’T BULLY THE CHICKS FROM DIXIE "OUT OF THE BLUE" -- Despite inane country music radio station owners and DJs, and fans, none of whom have the vaguest concept of "Freedom of Expression," The Dixie Chicks continue to dominate the charts. ONWARD CHRISTIAN LEADERS Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- Despite what too many of our elected and not-quite-elected public officials might think, we citizens of the United States are not all of the Christian variety, or believers in a supreme being at all. It is one of our "certain unalienable rights." Still, without checks and balances these ideologues would turn our Government into a theocracy. Or is this just a ruse to sway the Religious Right?

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! SHAKE YER WEST WING! Herr Karl Rove has been the man behind the curtain in the merry old land where George W. Bush's brain has been in storage for the past 30 years. KING GEORGE, WE'RE TAKIN' OUR COUNTRY BACK In "Magnum Force" Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) stated to the young vigilante cops that he would continue to uphold the "system" until somebody came along with a better one. Well, the system that has been subjected upon us by Rove, Cheney, Bush, Rice, Rumsfeld and their thugs is a far cry from an improvement. We cannot allow ourselves to be submissive for another two-and-a-half years.

Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- We should all beware of the goose pimples rising all over our skin, and the hairs standing up on the napes of our necks, when a Jewish organization such as AIPAC consorts with the likes of the Dick Cheney. I DON'T BLAME JESUS FOR "CHRISTIAN" POLITICIANS Jerry Tenuto: OUT OF THE BLUE -- Our Nation's Forefathers were wise enough, and had their fill of religious overkill, to expressly forbid the co-mingling of theism with governmental operations. Here in the 21st Century, when we should be far more enlightened than they were in the 18th, a number of elected and no-so-elected officials have our Nation teetering dangerously on the precipice of theocracy.
