Mike Malloy is a former writer and producer for CNN (1984-87) and CNN-International (2000). His professional experience includes newspaper columnist and editor, writer, rock concert producer and actor. He is the only radio talk show host in America to have received the A.I.R (Achievement in Radio) Award in both Chicago and New York City, the number three and number one radio markets in the country. His radio experience includes the 50,000 watt blow-torches in both the South and the Midwest, respectively WSB-AM in Atlanta and WLS-AM in Chicago, and as one of the original hosts on Air America - a two-year-long association that ended in a massive train wreck. Mike's nationally-syndicated program can now be heard weeknights on affiliates of the Nova M Network and on XM Satellite and Sirius Satellite Radio as well as on live Internet streaming.

It is not difficult to pigeon-hole Malloy politically. Generally speaking, he is a traditional Liberal Democrat doing his part to return the Democratic Party to its Liberal roots.

The Savage Weiner Weiner is simply one act from a whole institution of radio talk freaks here in the U.S. who are known for their hate speech, their vile comments where it concerns poor people, the ill, the homeless, and those incapable of defending themselves against the ravings of a violent thug like, well, Weiner. This guy even -- on occasion -- out-hates Limbaugh!

Move Over, Mother Teresa According to Sarah, we should feel more sympathy for her than for Rep. Not since the Jews of Biblical times has a figure been as victimized as our Sarah, the only truly injured party in this sad turn of events. Because it's all about her. Really, it is.

Israel: One of the "most oppressive and brutal regimes in the world?" The US Congress -- both House and Senate -- have learned their lessons, too. No sooner does an incident arise that -- if committed by a country other than Israel -- would clearly be identified as at best a human rights violation, and at worst a war crime does the House and Senate suddenly find a cohesion that otherwise simply does not exist.

Plus a change, plus c'est la mme chose We - millions of us - must have misunderstood. During the Democratic primaries and the general election just past, I could've sworn I heard Barack Obama talking about - insisting upon - change. At least, I thought that's what I heard.

Lord of the Credit Cards there's so much more about Senator Biden's legislative efforts that brings smiles to the faces of the Blessed Corporate Overlords who have funded so much of the Democratic Party, who have written check after check, sometimes even more (gasp!) than to Republicans, who now can relax, don't worry, it's been handled, all is okay, we're home free, Bush is on the way out, the new "Bush" is in the wings.

Los Federales Our very own War Criminal is correct. For the U.S. to join the Court in the age of the Bush Crime Family is completely, incontrovertibly "off the table" as Nancy Pelosi would say in a different context. The crimes against humanity committed by the Bush Regime are well-documented. The record is there, over which future historians will puzzle and scratch their heads in amazement.

Blow Your Head A word not often used in politics is: inevitable. However some Republican voters are now using it to describe a Trump victory in the primaries as well as in the general election this November. And, these are not -- emphatically not -- Trump supporters. They could be described as conservative, Republican, evangelical, or any combination of those terms.

BOOM! The AP reports Rod was intercepted on court-authorized wiretaps over the last month conspiring to sell or trade the vacant Senate seat for personal benefits for himself and his wife, Patti. If there were no bidders or the jack offered was not high enough ol' Rod considered appointing himself. "If they're not going to offer me anything of value I might as well take it."

Death. As a ceremony. Ted Kennedy's life was extraordinary -- filled with both flaws and strengths. His death closes yet another door that might have led to what the Framers saw as a possibility and what the newly emerging Fascists see as an obstacle: the hope of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We don't want Obama interfering with the glories of Free Market Capitalism -- the pro-God, anti-gay, anti-abortion economic system that was given to us by the Almighty himself!

To a very large, extent the general public has become a fearful herd of mooing bovines, moved this way then that way by whatever barking Republican is handed a mic or is steered toward a camera. Is there any topic, any attitude, any idea, any anything that a right wing Republican can't saturate with fear and then use to turn the cowardly Mister or Missus Television-Watching America into a vibrating mass of onrushing panic?

Babbles for Jesus' protection? Spins in circles while thunder and vile odors and otherworldly screams roll and reverberate through the White House?

Exit Laughing So are we to be left no accountability for the crimes committed repeatedly, relentlessly, arrogantly over an eight-year period? Will there not even be a "truth commission" of some sort modeled perhaps on that used by South Africa following the end of apartheid? Is the fear that such a commission might be forced, after taking testimony and hearing witnesses, to recommend legal action by the Obama Justice Department?

Not even a bathroom break. According to the Daily News, "Many of the vets are elderly and left pieces of themselves on foreign battlefields, and others were crippled by recent service. For health reasons, many can't be stuck in a room for hours."

Instead of north Georgia, however, this imaginary little girl is digging holes in the ground and spreading mulch around azalea bushes in the Chugoku region of western Honshu, the largest island in the archipelago that is the nation of Japan.
