The Conspiracy Too Big for Glenn Beck No one seems to love a good conspiracy more than Glenn Beck. In order to have a clear view of any conspiracy you need to have a vantage point outside of that very conspiracy which is why I think Beck is missing the grandest of them all...he has wittingly or unwittingly become an integral part of this one.

Religion & Using fear to control "White" America. Bigotry is fast becoming a major tool of the conservative movement because religious conservatives seem to all agree that God makes mistakes and that it is up to them to sort them out and segregate them from other "good" Christians. To me this is not a very Christian attitude toward a fellow human and fellow American. But again, it is a great political tool used to divide us.

Who does the US Chamber work for? The very basis of our democracy may have been dealt a death blow by the US Supreme Court. Citizens have a right to expect fair and honest elections but the recent "Citizens United" decision has thrown a monkey wrench into our political process. By creating a loop hole for foreign interest to invest in election propaganda, the voice of the people will be severely diluted to the point of silence.

Will November spell the end of our Democracy? Big business does not spend money unless they expect to get something in return. They don't spend money to elect people to congress who will not do their bidding. Who do they spend their cash to support? Why those people?

What Have We Become? We used to hope we could count on our laws to protect us by providing appropriate sanctions to deter them from harming us. We count on our lawmakers to be wiser than the masses when they author legislation to protect the public. Sex offender registration laws cause more violence than they prevent.

The GOP's Idea to Eliminate Social Security should make us Insecure! Think of Social Security as a form of a pension fund. When you work you pay into it from payroll deductions. Don't mess with something that has worked well since 1935.

Stop burning gasoline, almost. America's dependence on fossil fuels to move us around began with internal combustion powered cars. Fuel was cheap. We practically stole it from the Arabs until they wised up, now they control how much we pay for fuel.

Comcast moving to monopoly over your content. Comcast is testing the FCC. If it gets away with manipulating one source of competition, movies, how much longer will your VoIP phone ring before Comcast blocks Vonage, Nextiva, Magic Jack and so on? If FCC permits this then maga-ISPS will create a monopoly over everything you want to watch, elimiate choices on who's phone service you want and perhaps wind up charging your for every email you send.

House Passes Hate Legislation...Must be Stopped in Senate Something frighting is happening all too often in Congress...the institutionalization of hate directed toward specific groups of people. Hate based legislation is unconstitutional and members of Congress are required to take an oath to uphold our Constitution.

Will States Kill on line retail? States are looking for ways to collect sales tax for purchases made by their citizens. With 14,000 different tax jurisdictions in the US, compliance by small on line business could prove impossible, leading to their demise. Federal laws must be written to protect the mom & pop internet business from extinction.

Where is My Bailout? It is not just the Banks who need help. Send the bail out lower down and let the "little guy" use it to pay the banks their debts. That removes bad paper from the banks and the same money winds up where it went now...except it helps America along the way.

McCain proves his ignorance of economic issues. I, for one, would rather pay more taxes on a higher income than pay no taxes on poverty level income. It is a fact of life that there is no free ride and we as individuals can't keep borrowing to buy without paying the piper and our government is no different. We can't keep waging war and cutting taxes for the rich. That just leaves the rest of us to pay for the war while the wealthy reap huge profits from that war.

The Court and FISA. Can we trust them to protect our constitutional rights? The very design of FISA seems to be to make it effectively impossible for anyone to challenge this statute in court because it would require unavailable classified information and documents to use in court. Isn't that in itself a violation of the First Amendment right to petition our courts?
