Jill Stein wins Election Reform in PA In 2016, Presidential Candidate Jill Stein filed lawsuits in 4 states to reform the way votes are counted so vote counts could be publicly verified. The worst of the state systems was PA, where most votes are cast on pushbutton machines that have only electronic records of the vote, and no paper trail to verify. Today, PA settled that lawsuit, pledging to use paper-based voting systems by 2020.
