Holly Stevens is a lifelong writer and editor who lives with her husband Bill on 30 acres of woods and meadows in the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina. She has two Cafepress shops -- Goodhearts for "positive liberals" and Plucked Strings for liberal Christians -- and is an avid gourd artist. Currently she is serving as a community columnist for The Greensboro News-Record and publishes a newsletter on storytelling in activism. She has lived with breast cancer since 1992, a condition that turned metastatic in 2001 and resulted in paraplegia one year later. She and her husband Bill are active in the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
