A healthcare strategy consultant and corporate director (including Dole Food Company and Salem Communications). For 20-years through 2006, he led WellPoint Inc. and its predecessor companies where he helped structure the most publicized financial turnaround in the managed care industry); launched a long-term business diversification venture subsidiary, with $100 MM in capital through strategic partnerships and early stage corporate ventures targeting healthy living, financial services, and international travel and health markets; founded/led WLPâ??s Consumer Companies and Specialty Companies; and directed the initial national expansion out of California including original M&A efforts.
Previously he led financial and operational turnarounds as a Manager in Deloitte & Toucheâ??s Chicago consulting division, working with the hospital and other industries. He first held a succession of engineering and management jobs with IC Industries, designing and manufacturing automated process control equipment. He was the inventor of three US Patents and received a BSEE from the University of Missouri.
