Dr. Gary Epler is a lung disease and critical care doctor and professor at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He has written four health books about how people can manage their own health. He is writing a fifth book about how to have a high "Level-10 Energy" day. Recognized yearly from 1994 to 2012 in "The Best Doctors in America," Dr. Epler is world-renowned for describing the lung disease bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) that is also called Epler's pneumonia. He discovered a parasite in South America, chronicled nutritional needs of North African children, and managed the tuberculosis refugee program in Southeast Asia.
