I'm a retired Millwright in the Phila. Carpenters Union and proud of it, you can thank the Philly Carpenters for the 8 hr. workday. We started it all in 1881. I participated in the recent demonstrations in Phila. supporting the Wisconsin Unions, and working men and women everywhere.
I carried a sign with my interpretation of Republican trickle down policy. Rob Kall took my photo and it's in his article about the event, I shouldn't be hard to spot. I have since modified the image of the "little guy" under the elephant to reflect my sentiments regarding Republican union-busting, (my profile photo). I am the author and copyright owner of the "Trickledown Frown" but I am giving it out freely as a political statement, the Republicans are going to HATE it. I want to see it on every "stop" sign in the country by election time.
My other passion,(besides tormenting Republicans) is my other favorite copyright "Many Masterpieces Become One" subtitled "The General" with music by Scott Joplin. Buster Keatons' Civil War silent classic has been presented twice so far in two Phila. area theaters with a live performance piano score, to VERY appreciative audiences. With the Susquecentenial of the war approaching, there will be more performances coming up.
