Award winning poet, writer and refugee from the educational testing industry. Richard agitates, supports and motivates activists of all kinds, the most well-known being Cindy Sheehan. Web developer and designer by day, writer by night, Richard has the disposition of an observer and essayist. Richard has fallen in love, one day at a time, with the writing of Raymond Carver, while sparring, verbally, with the flying monkey right since 1998. Richard built his first computer from scratch in 1977 and had his heart broken for the first time in 1980. It has been stomped on and dragged behind a Chevrolet for many miles since that time. Thanks in no small part to Republican partisan politics and internecine policies.
Why I Hate Republicans: A Monologue Void of Bread or Circuses
I've been a life-long Democrat. Even while living in Texas. Even after coming to the realization that there was some considerable sense to the argument that making people dependent on hand-outs actually weakens them morally, spiritually and emotionally.
AF General Michael Hayden: CIA Director, Cheney Lapdog
Cheney's secret chain of command was apparently responsible for the nuclear missiles moved, without proper authorization, from Minot AFB to Barksdale AFB. It also appears that Houston is the most likely target of the next "terrorist attack" on US soil.

Libertarianism: New World Hors d'Oeuvre
This is a reprint of a comment I made to Ferdy's treatise on Libertarianism. In the face of the immense human suffering going on in the world right now, the libertarian message is politically and ideologically tone deaf.

The Present Evidence, Part 2 of 2
Sustained research into deep politics requires the ability to quiet the mind on a regular basis, but the quiet can not come if we forget what it is that we truly believe in.
The Myth of Swiss Neutrality
Swiss law requires absolute secrecy in banking matters. The legal environment provided by Swiss banking laws, Switzerland proclaims, does not serve as a cover for international criminal syndicates. But the "don't ask, don't tell," policy observed by the Swiss acts like flypaper for the idle rich and the powerful elites intent on protecting the criminal means they employ to generate their wealth.

War Between Wayne Madsen and Dick Cheney Escalates!
Today, "Swingin' Dick" Cheney owns this here land as outright as Pinochet owned Chile; that means nobody threatens the Swingin' Dick. Times like these call for the exercise of pure power, a demonstration of the raw exercise of political muscle: you get someone else to humiliate your opponent.

Respect As A Core Principle: Where We Are
A new "respect" is at a barest beginning in the United States of America. Respect 2.0 embraces the lessons of the past, but no longer freezes time-honored principles into "rules" that make the good the enemy of the best. It is the true meaning of "novus ordo seclorum."
Ed Schultz Is Pinocchio: Charisma Without Intellect Equals Cartoon Character
I have bit my tongue in recent months because firing off a round at Randi Rhodes was followed almost immediately with the unimpeded rise of "das gut" Schultz. I had nothing to do with any of this, of course, but karma is karma. We've killed too many Indians and indigenous peoples on our own continent for the "Heartland" paradigm to survive intact, or be taken seriously by any thinking, feeling human.

Gallup: Obama Already Recovering from Wright Losses
The media is about to concede that Barak Obama is the only viable candidate for the Democratic party. Hillary is out of money and the media have been trying to milk a conflict not in the country's best interests.
