Brad Parker is a prolific political writer and speaker as well an award-winning recording artist, songwriter, producer and musician. Brad has been involved with many Democratic Party organizations including: Officer of the Progressive Caucus of the California Democratic Party, President of Valley Democrats United in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, Board of Trustees of Progressive Democrats of America, Vice President of Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles, Delegate to the California Democratic Party Central Committee from the 42nd and 41st Assembly Districts. Parker has worked with many leading Democrats including Vice President Al Gore and Tom Hayden. Now, he has turned his advocacy to economics with a new website - progressiveconomics - co-written with Mark Pash. Brad has recorded, toured and produced hits in North America, Europe and Asia. Parker owns Indie label Riozen records and is a co-founder of Muzlink - an online music marketing and promotion website.

His new book ~ Left Turn Only: Dispatches From The Progressive Underground ~ was released in November of 2009.

Tom Hayden says - "This is what historians call a primary source, the raw anger that led to effective pressure when grass roots Democrats became infuriated at the perceived betrayal of the antiwar cause after they worked so hard to elect a Democratic Congress in 2006. Invaluable for political scientists and activists trying to understand why Democrats so often abandon their base."

Norman Solomon says - "Left Turn Only chronicles our political era -- and our opportunities in 2009 and beyond. Brad Parker writes of a struggle in the midst of it; the stakes are immediate and larger than huge. While much of this book's focus is on the Democratic Party, the vision is about overcoming the hurdles that block democracy. You might disagree with one point or another, but the intelligence and determination that infuse these pages are clear; the unwritten long chapter is what remains to be done."

Why Winograd Matters Marcy Winograd is more relevant than most of us. Through six years of campaigning to win a seat in the House of Representatives, she has revealed the true inner workings of the Democratic Party, both in California and nationally. Her epic struggle to unseat Representative Jane Harman, in the 36th Congressional District of California, has proven Winograd's true grit and revealed the Party's soulless Establishment in decline.
