The Worries of a Public Sector Worker
Public Sector workers have a lot to worry about right now. Major threats are looming to our measily existence. Government forces want us to pay for their mistakes and monetary wastes on war, bailouts and out of control spending. We must unite now, before it is too late.

Luxury and Desperation A Block Apart in Haiti Today
Visiting Haiti one year after the earthquake, the situation is much worse and there is a major humanitarian crises that is not being reported by mainstream media or the NGO's who are beneficiaries of the billions given to the people.
The Veil is Lifted, The Gloves Are Off
On Thursday, July 15th, Lynn Stewart was sentenced at US District Court in downtown Manhattan to ten years behind bars. The original sentence of 28 months was vacated, to the dismay of hundreds of supporters.

Our Hands and Help For Haiti
Upset by the disaster that struck the Haitian people on January 12th, my daughter and I decided we wanted to do more than throw money at a problem that killed hundreds of thousands and left millions homeless. So we brought ourselves and aid to Haiti.

It's the war, and now the bailout, stupid!
Why isn't Obama challenging the "surge is working" rhetoric being used by McCain and the republicans? 30,000 troops sent into Iraq was not the sole cause to the seemingly decrease in violence, which is merely wishful thinking.
Pelosi needs a reason to impeach, I'll give her one
Nancy Pelosi recently appeared on the morning talk show The View. Joy Behar, much to her credit, asked her why she took "impeachment off the table." Pelosi, in her arrogance, said someone should give her a crime that Bush could be impeached for. Well, if she doesn't believe Kucinich's 35 crimes, I have one she might like.
Yesterday I was speaking with my son who is a Marine stationed in Fallujah. Every so often I am lucky enough to get a phone call, but the conversations have a background noise. All I hear when speaking with him is mortar fire and machine guns hammering away at something. My imagination runs away with me, although it isn't an imaginery time. This is real gun fire, not fireworks on display. His CEO emails offer NO comfort.
