Dear all,

Denny Morriseau from VT (running for office; a HCPB person) wanted to support Lynn Landes in some way and I thought of the following.

I have already emailed and called her (got voice mail) and tonight I snailed a card to her

I would also love it if we sent her white roses - one of the international symbols of resistance. In Nazi Germany, a group of students, named the White Rose Society, were killed by the Nazis for giving out leaflets. (They were, btw, betrayed by someone inside their own group. That is for another email.)

When Barbara Boxer stood up and voted against the Ohio electoral votes people from around the country sent her roses. Our local group sent her a dozen white roses

And last week, someone from DU organized to send Helen Thomas roses.

If you are interested, send me a check, made out to Sheila Parks, with white roses for Lynn or some such in the memo line, and I will send her the roses, as many as we can afford from this. It cost us $100 a few years ago to send to BB. We need at least that amount, and we could send as many dozens as we get money for.

My address is: Sheila Parks, 545 Centre Street, # 603, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

We need to do this in a timely fashion, so if you are interested, please write your check when you finish reading this.

I know there are others who we could have sent white roses to, Bev and Kathleen and Ion Sanchez immediately come to mind. At any rate, let's move forward. Lynn has done this pretty much alone, as I understand it, and I would like us to support her like this.
