The terrorists were told in clear terms that they must change their behaviouras due to international pressure he is unable to provide them protection. The Governor said that he had been facing great pressure over the non-implementation of peace accord.

In an official handout issued in Peshawar, the Governor held meeting with the terrorist leaders.

A 15-member Peace committee of North Waziristan called on the NWFP Governor Lt. Gen (R) Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai at Governor's House here on Saturday to review the state of implementation of peace agreement of North Waziristan. Officials of Civil Secretariat FATA, besides the Political Agent of North Waziristan, also attended the meeting.

The Governor apprised the delegation members about the apprehensions expressed by certain quarters about the peace accord and stated that in order to checkmate the criticism about the agreement there was a need to take immediate stock of the situation to further gear up efforts for ensuring full implementation of all the clauses of the peace agreement. He also stressed upon the need for enhancing security checks on the roads with in the Agency and extra vigilance on the borders to foil any attempt by any one to cross the border for the purpose of carrying out subversive activities.
The Governor warned the delegation members that the peace agreement of NWA had retrieved the people of Waziristan from a nightmare. "Any damage to the peace agreement would put the people back in an abyss of uncertainty and despair", he added. This, he said was the last chance for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere in the area. "Any harm caused to it either intentionally or unintentionally would surely be a big disaster, where the damage would be irreparable", he cautioned and hoped that prudent elements would not let the opportunity slip out from their hands.

He lastly added that the tribesmen had proved in the past that once they made certain commitments, they stood by them, hence they should not roved themselves wrong. The delegation members assured the Governor that they would take visible steps for keeping the peace agreement in tact.
