Hands tide, tightly!
Oh, that hurts!

Arms wrenched back!
Angry gibberish in the ears!
Rifle barrel in the ribs!
Wind knocked out!

Heart exploding through the chest!
Hot sweat soaking through cammies!
Skin crawls, hair stands on end!

Questions:

Is this it?

Where are they taking us?

What will this do to my folks?

Oh god, will they cut off my head?

How did I get here?

What happened?

Thoughts of regret:

Maybe I shouldn't have joined up.

Maybe I should have stayed home with
My family and friends.

Oh god, I'm sorry mom!
