Joel Wendland | Impeachment: A Note of Caution
"I believe that the explicit demand to impeach Bush and Cheney is jumping the gun," says Joel
Wendland. "We can already see that the slogan's effects are divisive and limited, sparking the anger of the righteously committed aimed at Democratic members of Congress who feel forced to retreat on
'going after Bush,' and shifting focus away from the people who committed the crimes. The impeachment movement should really be a truth movement. It should be something akin to the 'truth and reconciliation' process in post-apartheid South Africa, during which appropriate punishments were handed down to criminals exposed for heinous crimes against humanity, while preserving the unity of all the people by not allowing the process to be turned into a witch hunt."
A Note of Reckoning -- My Two Cents re:
"Joel Wendland | Impeachment: A Note of Caution"
Wendland's use of the phrase, "witch hunt," implies false allegation against those or one who is innocent. You'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind to apply this to the unprecedented high crimes and misdemeanors of this administration -- with our dear
leader George W. Bush at the helm.
It is hardly "jumping the gun" to begin impeachment proceedings. Because the citizens of this country need to see the opposition 'leadership' DO THEIR JOB, otherwise 'the people' will be too disgusted to get fired-up after having left no doubt they voted for the democrats to begin earning their exceedingly undeserved pay.
How many rebels and freedom fighters do you think exist in America? Most people are exhausted after a heavy-load work-week and just want to try to have a weekend at home, enjoy their family, have fun, or kick back and not to have to consider physically firing-up some "truth movement." Kudos to those who are out there walking the talk, but I don't think the majority of American citizens are beating a path to sign up last time I checked.
Impeachment would go a long way to restore America's badly tarnished image, believe it. Those in the democratic party were recently overwhelmingly elected to restore integrity to this country and oversee the restoration of our shredded Constitution
- or we're looking at our own soon-to-have civil war, which, by the way, I hear, is the reason for the secretly constructed internment camps right here in the US. (Check out the videos below).
Hound your reps before its too late, which you can do comfortably from home or sneak one in at work or on a break. If you made one phone call per day, if everyone did this, its not a big deal, except it is a big deal. If everyone ... one call ... imagine that? Call for impeachment before y o u w i s h y o u h a d. Pretend you're voting again. Seriously. Here you go, fyi >>
