Article: Silencing Witnesses

Like hit-men killing witnesses who might testify against a Don and his Mafia, some military specialists seem to be exterminating people who could testify about the brutality and lies of U.S. aggression in Iraq. Why else would the elderly, women, and children be executed along with 'so-called' insurgents? Why else would Abu Musab al-Zarqawi be slaughtered, instead of captured, in a staged annihilation and TV propaganda blitz that makes the old movie script, "Wag the Dog," look amateurish by comparison? Why else would three prisoners at Guantanamo hang themselves in a coordinated terrorist "asymmetric war" strategy of suicide against U.S. interrogators who claim they are just trying to do a good job? News media is filled with propaganda, benignly labeled as spin, about such blatant atrocities every day.

Witness cleansing appears to have become another tactic of the U.S. Administration and its war machine. Like shock and awe, collateral damage, enemy combatants, renditions, etc.; and now - "Operation Forward Together" targets major cities of resistance with oblivion using U.S. trained Iraqi death squads backed-up by U.S. air strikes of annihilation bombings. Silencing witnesses has become a routine psychopathic attempt to avoid conviction for war crimes through acts of impunity shrouded in lies and deception.

Military Public Relations scripts fed to willing media reporters are as transparent as the "values" gimmicks of a Rove political campaign to get the so-called Republican base fired-up before an election. (Or is it base voters for vile Republican Neo-cons who get fired-up?) Even without major media investigative reporting, most Americans are not buying the Bush Administration's phony scripts, and the polls are beginning to show that citizens are getting wiser about PSYOPS Promotions. "Fooling people all the time" seems to be wearing thin for President G. W. Bush and his cronies.

The next step in this ungodly charade is impeachment. But with most members of congress, including both political parties, in the pocket of corporate lobbyists of the Military-Industrial-Complex, and with the courts now stacked with cronies of the Bush Administration; a citizens' popular revolt seems to be the only way to make democracy a reality instead of the delusional representative democracy portrayed by corporate media.

The U.S. founding fathers wrote an inspiring declaration of self-evident truths, a mighty constitution, and a living bill of rights. But the ideology of "equality and democracy of the people, by the people, and for the people, with liberty and justice for all" is still manipulated by wealthy corporate plutocrats crying crocodile tears about liberty and democracy as they continue to enrich their own dynasties at the expense of the people within the U.S. and in sovereign nations throughout their global empires.
