Two types of voters:
Informed and uninformed.

The informed citizen votes for
Issues over image,
Substance over style,
And principles over personality.

The uninformed citizen votes for
Image over issues,
Style over substance,
And personality over principles.

More informed voters
Than uninformed voters
When the party of the people
Defeats the party of the powerful
And the public interest
Defeats the special interest.

More uninformed voters
Than informed voters
When the party of the powerful
Defeats the party of the people
And the special interest
Defeats the public interest.

Every citizen has a duty not just to vote,
But to cast an informed vote,
So the uninformed
Better get informed.

Then the party of the people
Can beat the party of the powerful
And the public interest
Can beat the special interest.

Ignorance is not bliss;
Ignorance is poison.
