We Are Raising Awareness at This Most Crucial Time to Save Our Vote!
The Bucks County Commissioners will be meeting again on Wednesday, March 15. There have been rumors that they will decide which voting system we will be voting on in 2006.
We have not given up! The People's Filibuster to Save the Vote is still going on in Doylestown in front of the courthouse. Map here.
Filibuster Schedule:
3/6 - 3/10: noon - 1pm
3/15: 10am in the hour before the Commissioners' Meeting
What Can You Do?
1. Join the Filibuster: Please take some time to get to Doylestown during the scheduled times to join the filibuster effort. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the impact we make with passersby who have yet to take action. Plus it's fun to talk to people who are informed on the issue of eVoting. You aren't alone!
2. If you can't make it to the courthouse, then please write a letter to the editor of your local paper. Take a minute to educate your fellow citizens on the importance of a voter-verified paper ballot. Without one, we simply have no way of knowing if our vote was recorded properly.
You can read some previously published letters at the CVI site, here.
You can get addresses of your local media outlets here.
3. Please make a donation to CVI. We need funds to pursue our lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The details of the suit are here, but one of the main arguments is that certification standards in PA are inconsistent and therefore invalid. This is the suit that the country has been waiting for. Please help us continue to pursue it. Make a donation here.
4. If you live in Bucks County, please call the Commissioners to let them know what you think. No Paper, No Proof, No Way!
