What should I do?

The time is not propitious for your act.
But do not think that by inaction you'll
Avoid fiasco, or that playing cool
Will help to keep your precious plans intact.

When all collapses, let it fall apart;
Allow yourself the depth of full despair.
Acknowledge this occasion for its rare,
Profound insight into your mind and heart.

We ask of wisdom, What am I to do?
Oblivious that in the very form
Of what we ask resides a moral frame.
The realm of Dao lies outside all value.
You ask Her how to brave the present storm--
Her answer helps you question why you came.

All of your I Ching sonnets have been beautiful, thought and soul provoking. I think I like this one the best, even tho' I might not have the deepest of perception.

Thank you. As the world I know disintegrates and corruption and identity politics undoes real ideas, I am also losing my husband of 60 years to Alzheimers, and every day deepens my despair. I try to function because I must, but somedays I give myself permission to be sad.
