Holy Week in America:
a time when many people are called to reflect upon the Passion of The Saviour
and their own sins in order to become more righteous. Unfortunately, the Holy
Week of 2014 has started out with more hate and hypocrisy than repentance.
Kansas
Jewish Center Shooting Suspect Identified as Former KKK Leader
A well-known white
supremacist, Frazier Glenn Cross, alleged shot 3 people in front of two Jewish
community centers. Two of them, Dr. William Lewis Corporon and his 14-year-old
grandson Reat Griffin Underwood, were not Jewish, but Methodists.
In an act of hate that struct President Obama (who knew
their pastor - see below), Cross started this year's Holy Week with an
anti-Semitism worthy of any of today's neo-Nazis. His rants were chronicled as
early as 2006, but it is perhaps his 2010 run for the U.S. Senate that captures
more of his ideology than anything else.
Utah woman allegedly killed 7 babies she gave birth to over 10 years, hid bodies in garage
Megan Huntsman, 39, was arrested Sunday and booked on
six counts of murder after cops discovered the tiny bodies stuffed in separate
cardboard boxes in the garage of her former home in Pleasant Grove. DNA samples
taken from Huntsman and her husband will determine whether the two are the
parents as investigators believe.
Holy Week is always chock-a-block with mysteries, but the real mystery here
lies in the fact that neither Huntsman's own children (now in their 20's) nor
her neighbors knew she was pregnant at all! Motives are running wild because
everyone thought of Megan as quite "normal". Maybe the neighbors and
relatives are not normal. Maybe "denial" is their way of life.
Perhaps the saddest outcome of the story will be what
America's media will make of it: a hypocritical circus. Both pro-life and
pro-choice will be scrambling to make an issue of it. The "passion"
in this Passion Week will be on both sides.
Ugandan Group Issues Urgent
Appeal For Aid In Helping HIV Volunteer Flee Country
GEHO Uganda has issued an urgent appeal for financial
assistance in helping a Ugandan HIV/AIDS volunteer flee her country. The woman
is currently in hiding and is being sought by police after being accused of
violating Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Act through her work.
The exporting of hate and its ramifications has hit
America's Holy Week: giving sanctuary to any gay Ugandan at this time will be
looked upon as an act of compassion by some, but an outlandish contempt for the
laws of a "Christian" country by people like Tonyt Perkins of the
Family Research Council. Speaking of which:
Perkins: Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan
Cathy Is A Coward For Retreating On Gay Marriage
Hate group leader Tony Perkins appeared on the Fox News
show of Mike Huckabee yesterday to denounce Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy as a
"coward" for backing out of the same-sex marriage issue.
