The most powerful arm of the overly powerful Israel lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), ran ads on Facebook that contained a picture of US Congresswoman McCollum with text calling her "anti-Semitic" and claiming she is a threat to the Jewish state of Israel. The ad linked to a petition that warned against anti-Semites in the Democratic Party who are a threat to Israel. It stated, "It's critical that we protect our Israeli allies especially as they face threats from Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS and - maybe more sinister - right here in the U.S. Congress."

Congresswoman McCollum released a powerful and well articulated statement regarding the ad and petition in which she referred to AIPAC as a hate group. She believes the AIPAC petition which claims she, and any member of Congress who questions the blind support the US gives to the Jewish state of Israel, are more sinister then the murderous religious terror organization of Islamic State makes clear that AIPAC is a hate group.

The reason Israel and AIPAC hate Betty McCollum is because she has introduced into the US Congress the bill Promoting Human Rights For Palestinian Children Living Under Israeli Military Occupation Act. If the bill becomes law, the over $3 BILLION US politicians take from American tax payers and give to Israel every year would be in jeopardy if Israel does not stop its brutal abuse of Palestinian children. Currently, and ever since Israel started it cruel, illegal and expanding occupation of Palestinian land in 1967, Israeli Occupation Forces take Palestinian children and place them under military arrest. The children are held in military prisons and are often beaten and tortured by Israeli Occupation Forces. McCollum's bill applies not only to Israel, but to any nation that receives US foreign aid and which occupies the land of other people and abuses children in the occupied lands. Hopefully AIPAC and the Israel lobby won't see to it that Betty McCollum is defeated in her reelection to Congress, as they so often do to people who don't toe the line regarding Israel. An insightful book on people who have confronted the Israel lobby and faced its wrath is They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel's Lobby by Paul Findley.

When we realize that Israel is a Jewish state, and we make ourselves familiar with the Hebrew Bible which Judaism and the Jewish state of Israel are based upon, it is not at all surprising that Israel is brutal and cruel in its expanding and illegal occupation of Palestinian land, and that Israel hates anyone, like Congresswoman Betty McCollum, who dares to take a stand against their religious-based brutality.

An example of the ungodly barbarity of the Hebrew Bible/Torah/Old Testament which involves cruelty to children (click here for an article about protecting children from the Bible) is the entire Bible chapter of Numbers 31. This Bible chapter tells of God ordering Moses to order the Israelites to commit genocide against the Midianite people. Verses 15-18 deal specifically with children. Verses 17 and 18 have the alleged prophet of God, Moses (Moses is believed by Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism and Baha'i to be a prophet of God), commanding the Israelite army saying,

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Since our actions are determined by our beliefs and thoughts, it should not be a shock to anyone that someone who believes God ordered the genocide of people and the rape of "women children" would themselves be cruel and brutal. As Thomas Paine pointed out in The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition, "Belief in a cruel god makes a cruel man."

Israeli PM Netanyahu has a very deep and strong belief in the Torah/Hebrew Bible. He said that he and his son, who is a Bible contest champion, read the Torah every sabbath and that the Torah gives him strength. Netanyahu believes so strongly in the Torah/Hebrew Bible that he leads regular Hebrew Bible studies. This belief in the superstition/religion of Judaism and the Hebrew Bible/Torah has been the source for statements he has made over the years regarding Israel and Palestine. For example, he said regarding Jerusalem being Israel's capital, "Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible approximately 650 times. The reason is simple: For over 3,000 years it has been the capital of our people, and only of our people."

Israel's end goal is to return Israel to its Bible-based Greater Israel borders, which would stretch from parts of present day Iraq and include much of present day, Syria, Egypt and Jordan. The Christian Zionist and Christian clergyman/con-man Pat Robertson wrote an article, The Land of Israel: A Gift From God, which details the Bible-based expanded borders present day Israel wants to expand to.

Netanyahu would also learn by reading the Torah/Hebrew Bible that God wants Israel to be "on high above all nations of the earth" (Deuteronomy 28:1), that God said regarding the Jewish state of Israel that "all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee" (Deuteronomy 28:10) and that any nation that will not serve Israel "shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted" (Isaiah 60:12). For many more examples of the Bible, both the Old and New Testament, promoting Jewish superiority and Israel over all click here.

Judaism teaches that the Jews were chosen by God "above all people that are upon the face of the Earth" (Deuteronomy 7:6). This is an assault against our innate God-given reason. Albert Einstein, who held Deistic beliefs about God, thought this Bible claim was nonsense. Einstein wrote:

For me the Jewish religion like all other religions is an incarnation of the most childish superstition. And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong ... have no different quality for me than all other people. As far as my experience goes, they are also no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power. Otherwise I cannot see anything "chosen" about them.

Now that Israel has accumulated great amounts of power, they are showing by their Bible-based brutality and false sense of superiority that they are infected with "the worst cancers" that Albert Einstein warned against. With the vast majority of US politicians from both parties marching blindly to the orders of Israel and its powerful lobby, they are bringing the US and the world to the brink of Armageddon, all on account of their selfish desires to promote their own political careers and to Israel's Hebrew Bible-based ungodly and destructive superstitions.
